As per this thread: http://www.greenandgoldrugby.com/community/threads/im-pretty-sure-this-is-lame.10777/

This video deserves a whole new thread:

Another brain dead idea from the ARU. It's probably an item best for children, but it doesn't come across like that. If it was, they'd have a family area for example or offer them in the alcohol free area. Instead their in a silver area behind the goals.

So, the Troup can't have it's own area, yet we can have an area with stupid "hats"? The Kiwis etc. will laugh at us, rightfully so.

I can't stop seeing pikachu. Anything that reminds me of playing pokemon blue while waiting to bat in under-10s cricket is a good thing.

This is fantastic, so much negativity for certain sectors.

I understand the Troup is trying to start something but it's getting to be that a couple of you guys seem to think the ARU doing something else is the reason their not giving you full support to you.

Wy things can't just be enjoyed for what they are I never know.

Having a headscarf isn't the reason you don't have your own area.

The welsh wear daffodils, the English roses, men and women, why the f should every idea be abut what kiwis will think of us instead of just supporting our boys and having a laugh.

Yeah supporters of the Darkness have it easy I reckon. Most people have either a black jacket or jumper in the cupboard, so when you're heading off to the game just grab that and you are "representing".

But seriously, (apart from your Wallabies gear) who owns anything yellow? If you don't have merch you're probably heading off to the Bledisloe and just grab that black jacket on the way out! ;)

But I have to say I don't mind this. Anything to get more gold in the crowd - and clearly there has been a big push from the ARU in this regard with the Castrol jump suits and now this.

I can't see why the Troup can't have thier own area either but just cause that sucks, doesn't mean this does.

I've put forward several ideas to them, namely flags. I respect what the Tahs have done this season, it looks fantastic. Why not in gold???

Even an A2 piece of cardboard would be great. The Kiwis did a choreographed display at Yarrow Stadium against the Irish.

My gripe is that it's all under the idea that it adds atmosphere. A couple of hundred people wearing silly suits or silly hats doesn't equate this, in practice. I'm a firm believer in that ,if you wish to critique an idea, offer an alternative. We are attempting to do just that, yet are getting no support.

Hehe, it gets called a spirit hood o_O

There's a few ideas around about head wear to get more team colour in the crowd. Big hats aren't popular cause the peeps behind ya can't see.

from my perspective you seem to be dismissing any idea that the ARU (or a sponsor) comes up with that's not your own. Fair enough you don't like the above, but looking at the comments, there are many that do.

If I had the choice of getting one of those, or a yellow piece of card, I know which I'd prefer.

Just type QWHOOD into the presale box and get your silly hat already!

This stupid hat with Wallabies jersey & cape combo + beer will add plenty of excitement to my night out.

It works! It appears that these bays are behind the posts. When I selected the QWHOOD option, I couldn't understand why there wasn't an email option for ticket delivery... then I realised you can't email the wallaby hood, they need an address

First saw Sanchez wearing one of these in a video and thought WTF? Not sure initially, but they have grown on me. Having a bay or two of these will certainly stand out in the crowd.

Credit to the ARU for trying something different. Kids will love these as well so if there are some extras, they could perhaps hand them out at fan days.

The cardboard banners have been done before on a few occasions. So have the spring loaded ones which expand. Not sure about the flags though.

The email option wasn't available even for tickets outside this area.

how can anyone honestly think that silly hats are better (or cheaper) than a whole stadium with flags flying everywhere or an organised display across a whole stand. Until we stop coming up with cheesy ideas like this, we are never going to have a real home advantage that other top nations enjoy and make great use of.

To be fair - it's mostly about merchandising.
