Does that include any rocket science? If you are *really* interested do some reading up on Nordic Military Training and/or long distance ski biathlon.

OK, So now that I have established that you are not really interested in cold weather training for elite athletes, please excuse me I am off to talk to some grown ups.Does that include any rocket science?
I am just a little sceptical about your 4 day claim, is all. If you have something directly published on that then I am interested.OK, So now that I have established that you are not really interested in cold weather training for elite athletes, please excuse me I am off to talk to some grown ups.
Yes.

I am sure if you search you will find relevant peer reviewed scientific publications.I am just a little sceptical about your 4 day claim, is all. If you have something directly published on that then I am interested.
Well, you've come with a lot of material about home-and-away advantage that is irrelevant to the thread. But nothing that supports your 4-day acclimatisation claim...I am sure if you search you will find relevant peer reviewed scientific publications.
Growing up above 1400mts and cross country skiing for over 40 years, I could speak directly from personal experience about cold and altitude training, however it would be shot down as subjective and not directly relevant to rugby or this thread.
No Hewson wore gloves and copped grief for that, a lot wore them after he did though.Legend has it that NZ and Wellington fullback Allan Hewson used to wear stockings/pantyhose to keep warm when it .
My mate says he (Hewson) came in for some grief over itback in the day (late 70's). This is the same mate who likes the cold and wet of Athletic park. (See my post on the Wobs vs Scotland game - "Weak as p****")
You can only imagine the words he used to describe Mr Hewson's choice of undergarments. Made worse by the fact that he was a back.
Does that include any rocket science?
Just quit it with this, no one can help shivering once their body temperature drops. These Wallabies are just soft.
Tucked into their undies too, keeps the boys extra warm!Don't their mums make them wear a singlet?
Hewson wore pantyhose from time to time,he sufferered from the cold big time.Suprisingly although I weighed less than him,I never suffered like him(often played on the same day in the same conditions without much discomfort--whereas Hewie had all sorts of problems)
LOL So the rumours have been confirmed (gaggerland style).
Is there any way we can work this into our "witty banter" for the Troup at the upcoming Bled cup matches?
I know we shouldn't play the man, and by all accounts Hewie is a decent sort of fella but this surely is not a proud moment for the NZRT.
