Cheika would have to deal with the administrative clusterfuck that is the RFU and that would include "Rugby Director" Rob Andrew lording over him. He'd never go for it.

The 2016 Super Rugby season pre-season training commences in roughly 4 weeks time, but the ARU, SARU and NZRU still haven't officially signed off on the SANZAR Broadcast Agreement for 2016-2020...

Here's an idea for the ARU/SANZAR, how about they begin negotiations earlier and have the deal signed off well before the season begins.

The negotiations have been going forever! It'd be really interesting to know what on earth's been going on behind the scenes. Hopefully the delay will be good news. Maybe the world cup creating more interest in certain markets or something like that.

It's December and still no announcement on the broadcast agreement... What the hell is going on? is there a chance this could impact on the season if major contracts aren't signed.

Somewhat off topic, but for want of a better place to post this - does anyone know where to get hold of a copy of the ARU Constitution adopted following their governance review in 2012?

Yes but these same rumours have been going on for over 12months now, the competition is now only 3 months away.

Feb 2015:
The deal is being "papered", as they say in the industry, with the ARU poised to announce in the next few weeks the unexpected groundbreaking major uplift in its SANZAR broadcast rights from 2016 to 2020.

Two days before the Wallabies left for the World Cup, Australian Rugby Union chief executive Bill Pulver was hopeful of an announcement on the next SANZAR broadcasting television deal before the tournament began.
"I would like to think before the World Cup that we can give you a heads-up on where we are at," Pulver said on August 27 at the Wallabies farewell lunch in Sydney.

As soon as the dust settles from the final(RWC), attention will turn to the SANZAR broadcast deal, widely tipped to deliver the ARU an extra $40 million a year from next year but still no closer to fruition.

If the SARU prop up the Kings sufficiently and the JRFU get the sunwolves coaching and playing squad sorted, that would hopefully get the deal done in a matter of days.
