Has Woodencock been cited or not?

What's the point? Even if he gets cited, it'll be a week or two, maybe miss an NPC game, nothing else. Business as usual for SANZAR - fucking muppets.

Would you like them to be stupidly dangerous to your players?
Not at all. I was trying to say (somewhat unsuccessfully) if players get frustrated with the lazy behaviour of the opposition around the ruck they should do something about it on the field not have the coach complain about cheating after the whistle has gone a.k.a. PdV.

Then I was trying to separate Woodcock's dangerous action as unacceptable. I do believe, though, that there are acceptable ways to clear out a ruck without being dangerous - just not that way.

I fear what will happen if Woodcock doesn't get a suspension. The outcry from Aus and SA would be deafeining. I originally wanted him banned for two 3Ns games, but I think I would prefer to to play in the Sydney game now. In any event, I don't think the Cartel and Woodock will be upset if he gest rested from the one game SA leg.

I was under the impression that under the rules around citing it needs to happen within 48 hours or something? Could anyone post a vid of the incident, Sky in the UK didn't show it in their highlights and I'd like to know how indignant I'm allowed to be about the ABs getting away with yet more stuff.

The ARU have to wait until the citing does or doesn't happen before even thinking about doing something.

Rather than wait for a citing (good luck on that) Why don't the ARU get pro-active and lodge a complaint requiring an immediate response.

I've had enough of this double standard bullshit. It really is now completely beyond any standard of consistency. This rubbish has helped to dash what little chance we already had of winning the Bledisloe.

Cooper out for 2 vital games.
Mitchell Red Carded over a completely rigged joke of a call -14 men for rest of match!
Same match McGaw on final warning 23 times!
Whitelock spear tackle- nothing whatsoever. Not even a yellow card. Please explain?

I am not saying we would have won either game. We were outplayed by a better side . What I can't understand is the lack of any balance in this refs decisions and the citing procedures.

Sure. Be proactive. Jump up and down. Go the media. Air conspiracy theories. Have JON get in their faces. It is not, however, going to make any difference.

We don't have too many friends among the Sanzar leadership. The Saffers will love telling us to piss off after we've said nope to the Southern Spears, at various times - and very publicly - told them to 'eff off to play in Europe 'cos we don't need in the Southern Hemisphere comps, laughed at their clown for a coach and generally get in their faces about ill discipline.

The Kiwis aren't going to have The Myth scrutinised in any way. He has a legacy as the most capped prop for Un Zed.

So, where do we turn for justice? POB? Send an email to HQ for assistance? We've been mouthy for too long and burnt a few too many bridges.

It would be a 2 week banning I would think to take in the next test match. He wont play again until then. silly play, should have got 10 in the bin. We would have got a penalty here methinks, at the very least.

should miss one test for his indiscretions.

Thought your boy milked it though after he got hit by Woody!

Report in the NZ Herald seems to indicate Woodcock has escaped any sort of citing.

Prop Woodcock will be in the travelling group after avoiding any judicial hearing for cleaning up Wallaby hooker Saia Fainga'a without the ball as he lay on the All Black side of a pile-up. It was a cheap shot after referee Jonathan Kaplan warned the All Blacks their next culprit would face some censure.

Woodcock's escape then, and from the citing commissioner later, will add more weight to the Springboks' belief the All Blacks are favoured by match officials.

Yes, Woodcock should have been given a YC for what a cynical and dangerous "clean out"
Also I thought he used his shoulder - no arms.
Probably wasn't cited as seeing as it was only a "Yellow Card type" offence.
I think Kaplan possibly "bottled" it - after all the media talk about soft yellow cards, he underplayed this one

I think I will fall back on Gordon Bray’s line from the weekend as it's the most PC way of putting it – NZ continue to enjoy a remarkable run of decisions from the officials.

Even weirder thing about it is that Fa'ainga had got himself away from the ball and all Woodcock managed to do was push him back over it.

How that isn't worse that QC (Quade Cooper)'s or Fourie's 'spear tackles' I will never know.

It is a poor example to potential rugby fans that that sort of act can be let go unpunished.

Yep.
To call it a clear-out is fanciful, as he was never going to put Fainga'a anywhere other than back on top of the breakdown and ball, i.e. where he was trying (albeit slowly) to get away from.
Watching that replay it was a pretty cynical line-up from a way off to hit a player to hurt him - more calculated than a lot of "tip tackles" where it is often a split second result of getting into a bad position (and no, I am not singling any particular recent tackle out here, so conspiracy theorists can relax).
Had he got a YC I think that would have been enough, since he didn't, maybe a week or two, but I understand the limitations of the judicial process so am not all suprised nothing happened.

Its about 350 billion times worse than Drew Mitchell's 1st yellow card for a push on Diver McCaw. A push for fuck's sake !!

There's no doubt in my mind there's a significant refereeing double standard when it comes to the All Blacks.

I didn't mention that one as the ref was stood down because of it. We don't want to see that sort of YC be given again, against any team.
