I will throw a name out there - In Christian Lealiifano....
Very underrated, wouldn't mind him @ flyhalf or inside centre but like Chambers may not be blooded in time unless there's a few injuries.

I would like to add that Matt Giteau won the prestegious John Eales medal as the Wallabies' most outstanding player in October 2009. So please don't use the argument that his decline has been a long term thing.
Wycliff Palu was one to the top contenders for the very same medal in 2010... Without even playing a game in 2010.. Voting includes the spring tour of the previous year
It is pretty hard to notice the subtleties of the game when you have your own stuff to do.
On the John Eales medal win in 2009 some of you blokes obviously haven't voted for a "player's player" at any time in your playing days. Generally it goes to a loose forward or an outside back (or a tight forward who plays out in the backs) as they are often seen to be doing things. I remember one game I played in the inside centre was getting all the votes for player's player as he made a few good tackles in the game, most players were like sheep and gave their votes to him - I was one of the few who gave a vote to our hooker who had a monster of a game in tight that went largely unrecognised. Moral of the story is that often the guys who have the "best" games and contribute most to wins go un-noticed whereas guys who do one or two "flash" things get the plaudits. Have a look who wins the NRL award every year - always a halfback or outside back, maybe a dummy-half. Never a forward as they aren't flashy enough.
I thought Lilo's best position was 10... I stand corrected.
Agree re To'omua. Definitely one of the more exciting things to watch for in this Super season.

The only challenge for To'omua is that he is conservative style 10 How the "public" and "media" will cope the guy's style will be interesting. He is more "Barnes" than "Cooper"
These people talking up Lealiifano as a fly-half obviously haven't had to sit in the cold at Bruce Stadium and watch him play in that role. He is sometimes okay at 10, but often dreadful. He has a big boot with no modulation at all. I have never seen a player kick inadvertently out on the full as much as he did.
What he is, is a 12 with potential. The idea that he could play 10 for the Wallabies, especially ahead of a talent like To'omua, is ridiculous.

Groucho,
You've made some good points, seems I have a short memory - his kicking game was abysmal and very frustrating to watch (especially the little chip kicks) but I thought he played very well at 12 in terms of passing/ distribution, speed and tackling. With a bit of polishing he would be well worth a look.
