Can someone who was at Manly on Saturday please confirm whether Horwitz and Kellaway played? According to the team lists in the results section of the NSWRU website they both played, but this has been wrong before.

Did Kelly do much hands on stuff with the colts?

I think you will find that Kelly did most of his hands on stuff with them at School. His impact may not have been needed to much, as the initial game play was already there, it was more a case of the remaining boys getting a view as to how he plays. All that can be said is that his game play is having a huge level of success at a school boy grade, will be extremely interesting & exciting to see if these boys can bring that same pattern through into the senior ranks.

Neither of them played.

A great shame that Wade has chosen to move on. Has done some wonderful things at Randwick that im sure everyone will begin to notice in the next 3-4 years, provided the current administration can keep the boys there.

Watch the Randwick Colts, they will push Uni all the way this year, and don/t be surprised to see them dominate next years colts competition and have another flood of quality young boys come through. Worth noting that Randwick secured more Australian Schoolboys in 2014 then another club. Whilst repeating this in 2015 will be difficult, if they can sustain the links with Scots and Waverly and piggyback off their rugby programs, Randwick will be a powerhouse before you know it.

Im predicting a Randwick Shute Shield win in 2017!! Called it here first.

i think you will find that the scots college will have an informal association with Easts rugby from next year. So hopefully this will help the beasties colts program.

Think you are alone in that hope Baz, think 85% of the Scots side from 2013 are at Randwick

So Kelly's last hurrah was to rest his 'injured' GPS babe's Horwitz, Deegan and Kellaway. Though they were not injured. Because he knew Randwick had no chance he didn't want to risk an injury to them. I know how the other players felt about this -livid ! What does this tell you about this club and how it favours players. Good riddance to Kelly and hopefully we can have a fair and equitable selection process next year based on performance and not school.
Just got back into town and wanted to comment on this drivel.....So you are happy with Oz reps at Randwick as long as they don't originate from GPS Schools? You also implied you have the inside knowledge on the legitimacy of their injuries? When you look across their last 12mths they must have played something like 65 games! Is this not enough? Fatigue is also an important consideration in "injury management". Kelly has a duty of care. Why not the Manly game? What game would you have preferred? Get the players who are "livid" to step toward and complain about the lack of commitment they feel these young kids are showing!

Randwick has a tradition of only appointing coaches who have played for the club. Unless we can talk Todd Louden into coming back (instead of moving to the Rebels) or unless there's some other ex-player out there with a secret, highly successful, coaching record, surely it's time to dump the tradition. Please discuss

Jason Brewer and give Craig Morrison a proper shot and support.

Ive heard from the grape vine that Owen Finegan is returning to Sydney from Canberra next year and has been tossed up.

Gilly has the newington connection not sure how that would wash with PSTOEY when Mark Bannon (who I think is a first grade quality player), Brogan Roods and Mark Baldwin get picked;):p

Jason Brewer has put in the hard yards, good organiser, sound knowledge and wouldnt be a bad choice. Unfortunately Morro a great bloke but not up to it and not a strong enough character.

To me there has to be a bloke at the top who is the undisputed head coach and has the final say. There are alot of staff at clubs these days. Often this is a bloke who is not particulary a people person (louden, kelly, Chieka)

To me Owen fits this bill, not sure whether Jason does.

Im with you on this coach, not sure that a former club man has any relevance but probably still important to the board.

We've tried Tim Kava, James Holbeck, David Knox, John Maxwell (2012 when I think he was press ganged into the job), and a few others whose only qualification seems to have been that they were ex players. It needs to be someone who is selected on their coaching creds, not just because they played for the club.

Has Owen Finegan coached anywhere?
Maybe he could be part of a coaching family ie:
Kevin and Patrick Phibbs and their sons / brothers-in-law Owen Finegan and Warwick waugh ;)

I think Parra can beat uni at home this week. The wicks need 11 oints from the last three games to qualify. Gordon playing well too
