3. Mumm
2. Horne (does everything at speed and is a good defender).
1. Hangers
Thought the backrow combination worked well together. Barnes improved but he still instinctively kicks away attacking ball.

According to the NTA prop philosophy, he should be deducted points for scoring a try

Scarfman, I think you've lost the bet old son. I'll leave you to explain :)

I thought Mitchell was fantastic and deserved to be the MOM. Broke the first line almost every time.

3. Mitchell. always dangerous, even with limited space
2. Alcock. Stood up on debut
1. Baxter. 1st try in 100 games. Awesome

For clarity, any prop who scores a try from further than 1m out should be fired from the Front Row Guild.

Alcock is the shit.

Just read the Herald's 'coverage' of last nights game and one word comes to mind - pathetic. The pie eater and the cyclist have combined to produce some very inept reports that give no real insight to the game. In fact they seem to have spent more words talking about players who werent on the field than those that were.

And they get paid to write that stuff? Amazing. Lee Grant's blog posting is 10 times better.

While I may not agree with your views on my friend Chris Hickey, I agree totally with your views on journos.

3. Mumm. in great form this year
2. Fuze. Any senior players stepping up in waugh's absence was great & before the game I told him he had to score a try
1. Hangers. Deserves more but showing brilliant leadership for a guy that broke into the side this time last year

Special Mentions to Fuze, for obvious reasons, Horne for again putting in a solid game and Carter (at 12), for his aggression and life he injects off the bench

According to Lachie Turner, The boys are all looking forward to the BYE week

I reckon it must suck to have to "work" on the Easter weekend. Friday night game would be much better for the players.

I measured Al's dash at zero. I didn't see his feet move. Can you clarify?

Can't comment on the whole game as unfortunately I only got to see the second half, which for the majority of time seemed to be played in slow motion. Good to see another 5 pointer from the Tahs. From all accounts and from what I saw Barnes seems to be finding some form and Mitchell, TPN, Mumm and Hangers keep on keeping on. Not mentioned above is that Josh Holmes did well in his time on the park.

I think the Tahs have mastered the "just did enough to get by" syndrome. It reminds me a bit of my days at uni where 50% was considered the perfect mark, i.e. you just did enough work to pass but not too much was wasted on study that was better spent on other endeavours. When the Tahs have played against lesser teams it just seemed to me that they had something extra held back in case it was needed. Crunch time is upon us and we will truly see if they have what it takes in the coming weeks. They will make the finals but will be no match against the Bulls.

Barnes? Goog question. I thought he sucked, and when he was announced MOM at the ground, there was significant booing. Any other views?

Barnes was much better, but that was as much about the guys around him, he was running at the line with runners right and left; and that puts the defenders on the back foot.
