You may be surprised to know (considering that we're only a one sport channel) but the stats (via Alexa) say:

1. Throughout the Tri-Nations Tournament our internet reach was on occasions higher than The Roar's.

2. Our percentage of daily pageviews was higher than The Roar's.

3. Pageviews per punter were significantly higher than The Roar's.

4. We have far fewer single page viewers than The Roar's, and

5. Punters spent a lot longer on our site than The Roar's.

So Scarf, you're right.....

PS I don't think there are too many professional journo's working on our site?

I actually wrote some of the earliest articles at The Roar while G&GR was in its infancy, but needed the freedom of my own place.

There's room for everyone, but I wouldn't want to have to compete with us!

it actually wasn't rejected, it was pulled down after an hour due to the amount of traffic and code war intensity it was getting

it was about how the rugby name deserved to be Rugby's and rugby's only, and how its origins contradict league culture etc etc. i might have posted it here actually some time ago
