If you mean McKenzie, he goooorn.
Nah. Just crossing the names out of your list.
No it's not. It's a fantastic opportunity for a coach to achieve something extraordinary. Let's give it to one of ours.
Fuck Jake White...who left the Brums in a hole.
Give some of our tried and true a call.
Which means your list is no longer a list.yep, only JtS left.
tried and true Australian coaches?
show us where such animals might be found
Which means your list is no longer a list.
Go find some more names and report back.
This equates being an international rugby coach with someone who runs an organization that sells paper towels or cars. I'm not sure professional coaches occupy the same space, nor that the players see the coaches the same as a 9-5 supervisor who sends out memos. They're not entirely different, but there's something more with coaching that gets into psychology and a force of personality that the players buy into -- it seems to be more alchemy than MBA....in any organisation with competent personnel, it's the exact equivalent of the CEO saying to the staff "I'll be away at a meeting this afternoon - the section managers will take you through the drills we have laid down"
Dwyer and Macqueen are the first two who come to mind.
Fisher if he can be convinced to give up his new post.
JW is a mercenary.
Graham Henry will bring the same issues Deans brought with him.
Who else is coaching in Europe?
I am sure they have already spoken with Cheiks, Larkham and Foley.
That's definitely one big lesson out of all of this -- and even going back to Deans: When something goes awry, no matter how minor, crush the problem before the press turn it into a speculation circus that tries to paint the entire organization as in a constant state of crisis. For the good of the Wallabies, the coaching setup should be a benevolent dictatorship, and not a democracy with press leaks driving the agenda. If the ARU had dealt with the Beale stuff in a timely manner I doubt this would be happening. Two and a half weeks and counting. All the time the journos publishing new rubbish and players getting thenchance to have their two cents. It was left to fester and got uglier by the day. Who would have thought? Pulver must take some responsibility for this.
That sounds way too direct and logical. It also sounds like something that should have happened about a month ago.How about Pulver addresses McKenzie's concerns (detailed in an email sent Saturday morning), and ask him to reconsider his decision to resign.
That might involve some people being shitcanned or brought into line - which might put some noses out of joint - but surely that is better than the alternative?
Would Henry be playing everyone out of position?Graham Henry will bring the same issues Deans brought with him.
No foreigners please. Haven't we learned our lesson???
There are several Australian coaches that may take it on for a short term contract to see what they can do between now and the RWC.
Jake the Snake...are you fucking kidding??? Zero loyalty and boorish easy to beat rugby. I want to play like the ABs and how we played today. We just ran out of gas and quality at the end.
Dwyer
MacQueen
Larkham
It is going to be a Connelly type appointment for someone in their twilight who will relish the challenge and will fit the bill nicely.
Why did they let Fisher go..? Is it too late for him?
I agree. He knew he wasn't going to be part of anything that was going onspeaking of, i thought QC (Quade Cooper) seemed quite subdued on the bench..didn't seem to be celebrating our success much.
