heats then final would have been better. give a few blokes a go who might suprise everyone. they just threw in people who are probably not even the fastest (from league) i.e Greg Inglis. a few other leaguies would have been better than him.

I think it would be good if the ARU put on some sort "Super Rugby's Fastest Man" contest in the pre-season to build up the start of new comp. Maybe a week or 2 before everything kicks off to see who is really quickest. The 3 fastest blokes from each Super franchise in Oz battle it out over 2 semis and then a final.

Inglis obviously hasn't been in the best shape this season. Looks like he's been eating a few pies actually. Would've liked to see Aku Uate in it since he went 10.9 as a schoolboy.

The halftime entertainment at Bled 3 in Sydney was a fat bastard kiwi vs one of us in a race over about 120 metres of a dodging and weaving course. What a bloody farce. What were they thinking? The two best sides in the world hammering the crap out of each other, and we get 2 useless twits embarrassing themselves in front of 70000 people for "entertainment".

C'mon JO'N, With 6 domestic internationals this year, you could have put on some proper entertainment at half time along these lines of a decent "fastest man in rugby" or "strongest man in rugby" competition culminating in a grand final at the last domestic test. That is assuming that you are too lazy (or too tight to give free tickets to the relevant people) to allow a bunch of 6 - 10 year olds to play the biggest game of their lives at half time.

I have always enjoyed watching Roseville Under 7's play Gosford Falcons Under 7's (or equivalents) during oranges in the big game. It is not all about the egos of the sponsors. I'd have Grassroots promotions anytime as 1/2 time entertainment.

GEEZ. Lote scored a scintilating try last night for the Tigers, showed great toe and dare I say it looks to be faster than he was a couple of years ago. Can't help to think how he would have faired in the Bolt. Well done old boy

I reckon Green 7 is faster than him.

He definitely looks better for losing a couple of kgs, though.

I watched the telecast of this game. He left young gun Josh Dugan in his wake. Gus Gould (lol) said of Lote: "That is career best pace".

I reckon he was bulked up too much in rugby. Most likely told to because he was used as a battering ram, particularly by the Tahs. We would have got much more out of him if he stayed lithe, like his Broncos days, and quick.

It's a regret of mine that Lote was punted from rugby. In spite of some (fairly minor) offield issues, he could be a devastating runner when really going.

If they were going to bulk Lote up they should have made him a full time OC, otherwise who cares?

As long as he beats people on the outside and makes his tackle.
