The 2 journos arguing over interviewing Turner was pretty funny! Pity the sponsors got in the way of a good night by not letting the AFL boys run.

Well done Turner, we all knew he had alot of gas and now he's proved it.

Hayne has @ least 8-10kg on him and only just finished 3rd. Pretty impressive for a guy that size. I knew Inglis wouldn't fare well. I mean, he is 1.95cm & 108kg. Just goes to show straight line speed on the track doesn't necessarily translate to the field no matter what code you're in.

Grant has gone backwards since he was schoolboy, he ran 10.89 in the GPS - Turner ran 11.36.

he should clearly hang 'em up then. 3 tenths of a second slower isn't all that much. factor in his reaction time, conditions, wind and it was only one race.

Its a pity is was actually sponsored by gatorade as it took out all the teams that were sponsored by powerade and there were some good prospects missing as a result

Anyone seen the back page of today's Telegraph?
Big picture of Bolt and Inglis with a 40pt caption like Worlds fastest man meets NRL Star.. didn't see any mention that he came last...

Funny thread. Turner a better athlete than Inglis? Faster but otherwise nnnnnnnnnnnnooo.

A rugby winger has a completely different job to a mungo winger. mungo wingers take hitups of what they call rucks, rugby wingers dont do much except for finishing, counter attacking and creating.

No one trained for professional rugby in either code is going to get anywhere near their sprint times when they trained for athletics. The training objectives are entirely different.

I think it would be good if the ARU put on some sort "Super Rugby's Fastest Man" contest in the pre-season to build up the start of new comp. Maybe a week or 2 before everything kicks off to see who is really quickest. The 3 fastest blokes from each Super franchise in Oz battle it out over 2 semis and then a final.

Inglis obviously hasn't been in the best shape this season. Looks like he's been eating a few pies actually. Would've liked to see Aku Uate in it since he went 10.9 as a schoolboy.
