True but when talking about the backup to McReight not taking his spot. He is hands down the best pure on ball 7 and ahead of Tizzano and Gamble. Said it on Wednesday that he has the ability to chance the pace of a game.

Unpopular opinion: Fiji drua are cheap shot merchants, love putting on late dangerous hits. Their discipline is atrocious, constantly bending the rules, collapsing rucks, coming in from the side, not wrapping hands. Just look at their game against rebels last year, I’m all for supporting that team but I think their discipline and their utter disregard for rules is just blatant.

It's a great performance, but Schmidt has generally avoided naming a pure 7 on the bench and has focused more on an impact, ball running back rower. Given McReight's ability to go 80 I'm not sure he'll be too quick to change this.
