You'd think the Drua should have this one fairly comfortably. But if my memory serves me correctly, they have been somewhat slow starters to Super Rugby in the past, but against that it is their first home game to start the season (I think). On the Brumbies' side, they certainly are taking a risk not playing most of their Wallabies, but some of those who would usually be regarded as benchies or just squad members have had excellent trial matches against what were essentially starting sides from the Tahs and Force. It's encouraging to think that if they are competitive with almost full Super Rugby sides, they will also be competitive with the Drua this early in the season. Then, the weather and conditions come into play, probably tipping the game more in the Drua favour. In the end, I am hoping for, rather than expecting, a Brumbies win against the odds, but will be satisfied if they run the Drua close and get more experience into that next group of players coming through the system.
