Do we really need a playmaker @ 12?

Probably right. Which makes Elsom's decision to go for those long-range penalties look very poor. And if Dingo knew he should've relieved him the kicking duties before the match started.

I don't know why we go for those penalty shots anyway, I'd much rather see us kick for a lineout in the 22 & go for 7 points every time.

I disagree with Bullrush: QC (Quade Cooper) has the best long pass in the game.

He may have. But is this one aspect of his game enough to overcome the glaring deficiencies? I think Beale's pass is more than adequate enough at Test level. Cooper has great feet and a nice step - I think Beale is just as nice. Beale can kick just as well as Cooper. He tackles better and I think he has matured enough to be able to steer a team around the park better than QC (Quade Cooper) as well.

I understand the reluctance to move him out of a position he is excelling at BUT as I've said earlier, I'd want Beale to have the ball in his hands as much as possible if he was in my team. He's looking more and more like a game winner.

If I was coaching the Wallabies, I'd be asking the Tahs to try and get him more game time at 10 in Super Rugby next year.
