Lote had such promise, and was an integral part of the side on 2003 - but ever since then he only just seems to be holding onto his spot each year. With the physical attributes he has, he really should have done much better.

I thought I had an idea at the start - which would fall into Biffs category 2 - project. He say AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) having all the skills but being under utilised by the Wallabies, in particular he liked his strong running and step with a great ablity to counter attack from the back.

Unfortunately it became apparent that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) was either told not to counter attack, or was scared to so instead put up the most amazing number of innocuous up and unders (well they were ups for him and unders for the opposition) I have ever seen. I quickly lost all comprehension as to the decision.

My working theory is that he was trying to put together some pre-09 Crusader counter-attack back 3 and went for AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) as Shep was injured and on the back of that length of the field kick return try he scored for the Brumbies (not the one below, but a bit like it)

However, after a couple of games it became obvious that there wasn't the nouse to do this across the back 3 and it turned into the brainless kicking we saw. My hazy memory is that they just started to get the counter-attack going towards the end of last year....

Ashley-Cooper was really excellent last night, back to his best. If I was picking a Wallaby squad today, he'd be in my 22.
