Sounds horrendous & unnecessary. Is it just happening on the Fox stream or also on the tv broadcast? Certainly didn't happen on the Kayo stream.
Random question, are you not allowed to tackle someone while off your feet ? or was it he was offside ?
To beat the Crusaders especially at home you need a bit of luck. Sure the Reds had their chances, the lineout (again) was poor, they kicked from hand and the tee poorly but I also think those two blatent professional fouls had an impact on the match. Both occured within 10m of the Crusaders tryline with the Reds hot on attack and both should have been yellow cards.
Well spotted.
The Mounga tackle-whilst-on-the-ground was visible to touchie so it's an even more irritating moment.
Sanction: Penalty.
- A player on the ground without the ball is out of the game and must:
- Allow opponents who are not on the ground to play or gain possession of the ball.
- Not play the ball.
- Not tackle or attempt to tackle an opponent.
Easily the best Tupou has played all season, his break in the 76th minute was outstanding for a THP who had played the whole game. It's the Taniela we know exists, but haven't seen enough over the last 12 months.
@waiopehu, this new crop of Crusaders look a little arrogant with their play. It's like they feel they will win so they can fling it around a little whilly nilly. Even Richie Mo'unga is being overly cute at times. I think they really miss some of the old heads like of Read and Whitelock who would do the meat and potatoes as you put it. Some of those passes were beyond poor, and the silliness at the rucks really lacked some of the professionalism of the past.
All that said, boy could I watch Goodhue all day. I think that time with Sonny Bill in the AB's has paid off because some of those offloads are gems.
Also Foxsports can fuck off with their coverage, don’t care how low quality Optus will be, fox are dogs. I pay for a service I don’t get ads during play, simple you twats.
Im going to throw it out there, its hard to kick in the stadium, even Hegarty missed by a country miile.. I dont think they were ready for the ground to kick.

Just watch too much Rugby like many here I suspectmolman, you are obviously a good observant rugby man, I don't think I have seen a more spot on description of the Crusaders!!
I wonder if Robertson may just be missing some of his assistants of last couple of years in coaching department as well.
And yet the Crusaders won
I was wondering why that wasn't picked up, but then recalled that almost never are anymore, I recall a test last year where a player on his knees did same thing!
In saying that I pretty sure there were a few things went both ways , and although Reds gave it a redhot shot, I suspect if any of the kicks went over they may have lost it anyway. There lineout at times is woeful, and decision making horrendus.
