I would have Saia Fainga'a in front of Hanson. But at least on the bench. At the start of the season I would have also included Hunt but until he can string some games together it's hard to make an real claims that he is in our best 15.

I'd say its probably time for the Crusaders next year to reinvent themselves with some new blood - I mean if Reid goes soon then it would be like a ship without the officers.

I doubt Read is going any time soon. He will be AB captain after McCaw retires. He still has a number of years left in him.

A good indicator was the fact he turned down a 7s spot for 2016 Olympics to stay focused on XVs. There will be 2017 Lions that he will want to lead the ABs to victory to also :)

Nadolo sets up Ellis for the first Meat Pie. Converted. 3:25 gone. Reds 0 CruSadists 7.

Reds finally get their hands on the pill. Turnover to Todd, turnover to Gill, penalty to Reds.

Brand JOC (James O'Connor) likes up kick and makes it. Reds 3 CruSadists 7. 5 1/2 minutes gone.

10 minutes gone, No change to the score. Reds 3 Cru 7.

Bit of too and fro stuff like a couple of young uns at a night club at the start of the night.

Meat to Slade. Deft little draw and pass from Dan Carter's half break. Slade hit the hole at pace and scooted away to get a meat pie.

Easy Conversion missed. Cru 12 Red 3. 18 minutes gone.

Fainga'a has to go, he's slow and can't defend any more. 40 year old Carter left him for dead.

Fainga'a and Horwill again! Crusaders are just running around them, don't even get their fingers to them.

Slipper is my hero. What a chase!

Agree with those above, Fainga'a is pedestrian.

Try saver by The Golden Slipper.

This match is being played at pace with some passion. Enjoying it.

Reds 3 Cru 12 after 24 minutes.

Try-saver from Slipper, Codie Taylor's pretty damn quick & a semi-regular 7 for his club side. Funny how the shovel-it-right/ shovel-it-left/ repeat doesn't work but as soon as someone hits it fast & straight BOOM! Line break!

Anyone on the thread not watching the game on Foxtel?

Points here from the Reds. Take the scrum? Nuh they take the lineout option and shag it up.
