Cooper Gets Knocked the Fuck Out

The blokes in his weight division will be too fast, too clever and too good for him.

I reckon the only way he could wrangle a win is if he set up a bout with Berrick "light breeze and lights out" Barnes.

The guy Cooper will fight will be old, fat, unfit and slow.

Take for example, the guy SBW fought in his second professional fight.

Quade is already 1 - 0 after knocking out Berrick "The Sookface" Barnes early in the first round with a right hand hook to the jaw.......

Cooper has good reflexes, agility and acceleration, as well as access to good coaching, I have no doubt he would do well, just needs to develop skills to a decent level and to develop fight fitness.

Don't see how it will improve his tackling though, maybe he should consider MMA :p

This is precisely why he will do well out of this. People will pay money hoping that Quade will be KTFO'd but he will line up against some has-been or more likely a never-was that will be paid well to gte in the road of a few of Quade's punches and go down after a few rounds. Leaving punters frustrated enough to shell out next time he steps in the ring in an attempt to see what they didn't last time. Boxing, by and large, is a farce these days. Good on him I say. Make the coin in the off season, and keep growing the profile. Smart lad.

Scoey, I hink you are on the money. I just struggle to visualise what sort of never was they could dish up.
Remember that rule 1 is that they can't hurt QC (Quade Cooper). That limits the pool of possibles considerably.

Remember it is QC (Quade Cooper)'s first ever professional fight, with very limited training and zero amateur background. Why would you be expecting him to fight someone of a higher standard than what he is?

And if you want another current celebrity boxing story which trumps the QC (Quade Cooper) fight tenfold it's this:

Exactly,QC (Quade Cooper) is a numptie in the Boxing World, so they need to find someone who could not beat up Mother Theresa.
But to sell any tickets they have to tell the punters that he is going to hand QC (Quade Cooper) his arse.
So who can fulfill these pre requisites?
Their best chance is to send QC (Quade Cooper),KB (Kurtley Beale) & JOC (James O'Connor) on a boys weekend with a hand held camera and hope for fight club after 15 schooners. no live audience but the video sales would be good.

Not sure why him having a bout would upset anyone to much, I mean the boys are allowed to ride bikes, and suchlike, and there as much chance of an injury there. Do agree with the question who the hell wants to watch him box, but if it helps keep him fit etc I would let him go for it.

Never underestimate the ability of boxing to throw up a complete dunce that would be prefect for the job. All they need is someone with no money, (ie will do anything for some cash) and that has boxed enough for promoters to sell the fight but really they will have picked someone who has boxed enough to be able to pull thier punches.

Case in point: Anyone of SBW's "professional" fights.

A couple of those blokes already had a punch-up, 1 winner, 1 loser, and 1 tried to break it up (and got caught up in the whole mess)

That's too cynical for even me to contemplate.
although with SBW, it appears they put his opponents in a training camp and strapped them in a chair watching the tv and force fed them doughnuts.
Now I know what Homer Simpson would look like if he was real.

Mate, boxers spend years upon years developing the ability to recognize split second attacking opportunities as well as the hand speed to capitalize upon them. Natural athletes with do not make good fighters. This point will be proven the minute SBW or QC (Quade Cooper) take on a real boxer.

If there was any chance of them fighting a pro fight against a fighter who had plenty of amateur fights and was a genuine contender I'd agree but that isn't apples with apples.
