Weakest conference anyone?

You couldn't possibly be insinuating that the South African conference was the weakest?Weakest conference anyone?
Also what a top bloke Brad Thorn is. That was a gracious interview he gave after the match. Great career in both codes. Top bloke.

Great win the Reds, deserved it, no-one can doubt it. Several key Crusaders had off games - McCaw not at his best, Carter either apart from 1 moment of brilliance. But the Reds just held their nerve in defence. Huge.
Yeah, that's exactly what I posted Scotty, clearly I said the Reds only won because the Crusaders were shit. Must have been the bit about how they deserved it and how good their defence was which tipped you off? I made an observation that 2 of the best players in the world had off games, which was more to reflect my surprise, as they seldom do. But I guess you can find offence in anything if you try hard enough.Cyclo,
You did sound a bit like phil Gould in origin commentary. If the blues are winning it is because they are good if the are losing it is because they are playing shit.

What, like this maybe , Scotty?Good points. The Reds struggled where it was predicted they might - scrum, and subsequently Genia and Cooper were crowded and rushed and negated, to a large degree. But they still did it. Lineout was pleasantly surprising - I thought the Crusaders might disrupt it more. Instead, the Reds pinched a couple of crucial balls.Defence was superb. The most exciting prospect I saw was Tapuai. No disrespect to Ant Fainga'a, but I saw far more in Tapuai to suggest a long career in the Wallabies might beckon. Dangerous in attack, and very solid in defence, both in the tackle, and positionally.
Lawrence? Well, he performed to expectation for me, which is to say he was average.
