Most of the folks who actually care about the level of transparency given in the appointment process are on this forum. Like was already said, the selection process is very unlikely to be any different than if it was done with the QRU sending out daily updates - which is never going to happen.
The majority of the fanbase will just be happy that RG is out and the appointment of a new coach ASAP is the primary thing that the QRU likely is (and should be) concerned with - the only thing nearly as bad as keeping RG would be waiting weeks or longer to announce and instate the new HC.
Your average punter is just going to want to see a change that can be marketed to them as a positive one, how the ballots were cast or the interviews were conducted isn't even going to be an afterthought for most.
There are other reasons that an appointment should be made with some haste that have already been covered by others in this thread.
I'd hope that part of the "review" process was a smokescreen to run through the process of receiving and reviewing any submissions for the position that the QRU has received or requested over the season. Even that is complete, baseless postulation on what the QRU may or may not be doing (who generally do seem to function with a level of transparency relative to that of the Illuminati), which there is a lot of in this thread
