Many here believe we should adapt the forward momentum rule that is used in rugby league, I have'nt read all the thread so forgive me if someone has allready posted this, Forward momentum is something that the laws of physics cant denigh, yet offten when a ball is passed at speed a forward pass is given, momentum is not favoured here, I've noticed that many flat passes done in the SH that would be called forward here are let go by SH refs.
Again the difference of the Sothern and Northern refs are at issue, whereas a rule allowing forward momentum would benifit the faster flatter pass and not call it into question.
As for the positioning of the hands this may be very difficult for a ref who is trying to keep up with the game to actually see the hands pointing backward.
