SirClive, I wouldn't be too worried, for some reason Cipriani arouses excessive passion amongst some rugby fans. I agree his defence has been at time atrocious, but equally his playmaking and ball distribution have been exciting to watch, and his kicking better than average. He's not been great for the Rebels, but he certainly hasn't been a disaster. And his off-field 'indiscretions' have been trivial crap, majorly blown up, not sure why.

I far prefer to see him feeding JOC (James O'Connor) good ball than JOC (James O'Connor) feeding ball to someone who wont be able to do anything with it. Keep JOC (James O'Connor) at 12!

I completely agree with this last comment. I think finding a good replacement for cipriani should be first on the priority list. KB (Kurtley Beale) and JOC (James O'Connor) can both play 10 no doubt but this isn't where their best football is. KB (Kurtley Beale) needs to stay at 15 and JOC (James O'Connor) needs to stay at 12 IMO. With cipriani at 10 it gives JOC (James O'Connor) a little more freedom and he seems to play so much better when getting the ball from cips. We need a playmaker at 10 with good ball distribution in order to maximise the attacking opportunities of players like KB (Kurtley Beale) and JOC (James O'Connor).

how as delve played as over here in wales we dont get much coverage only what we see of the super 15 and then they dont show every game as a fellow cardiff man have allways tried to follow him

Delve has been a key player for the rebels and an inspirational leader. His dedication to the team has been exemplorary. One of the best forwards to play in the oz conference. The rebels will miss him big time next year, a sign of just how well he has played. Of all the o/s players to play in oz of the last few years, one of (if not THE) finest as he has played his heart out repeatedly.

Great player and great ambassador of the game. Seems to be very popular with the fans all round.

just throwing this one out there but replacement 10.. sam lane? everyone seems to have forgotten about him considering he only played 1 and a half games for reds, but i reckon he'd actually work quite nicely in the reds, and if he had strong backs outside him he'd be quite a good fly half i think. had a good passing game and a good head on his shoulders.

Sam Lane coming to Melbourne was mooted pre-season. He would probably still be a good get for the Rebels. I suspect (and suggested earlier this year) that next year's 10 will be KB (Kurtley Beale) but it would be good to have a backup in development. Taking nothing away from Jimmy Hilgendorf, he is not going to provide cover and development in the manner that Sam or another young flyhalf would.
