Yes its a meteoric rise considering he was Capt of Barker 1st XV in 2019. And playing in the front row. He must be close to being the youngest hooker for the Wallabies considering he is still just 20 years old.

Must also thank St Leo’s Catholic college which he attended until year 10 Rod for all their work developing him as a player.

Actually, competitions need to be managed better than this. But you know my views on that subject.

Knox took their best players from the field very early in the second half. Not only were the majority of 2nds players on the field there were also a couple of 16s getting an opportunity to play for the first time this year…. Towards the end it was 13 on 15. If they kept their best players on the field it could have easily been 120plus. There’s not a great deal you can do when kids are scoring full field tries including back rowers - you can manage rosters but you can’t tell kids not to run at full speed.

The game was actually played in very good spirits with the Alloys supporters jokingly chanting “scoreboard, scoreboard” when they scored a try to make 70 odd to 5 at the time

i think it isn't really Knox's fault that Alloys aren't a competitive Knox brought on 2s and 16as players and Alloys were still getting thumped.

Went to that game with the boys from the Barker 1994 Second XV. We met a lot of the firsts and their parents at the pub (Blue Gum!) afterwards and he seemed like a typical islander boy - polite, well spoken - with young kids all around him trying to get his attention.
Jeez the scholarship thing is a new one for me tho - never was a thing in the 90s at Barker - saying that - the crowd was packed and school spirit high so maybe a good thing. Nice to beat Knox to win the CAS comp as well.
