Um RS, I cant confirm re Northcot and Kitchener but your match report from Barker 1s V Joeys 2nds references Reimer as playing. Are you sure you don't mean the Barker 1s V Joeys 3rds game that Reimer was missing from?

Maybe it was Flaherty or Pollard that was missing then... I know Northcot was definitely out, as was Kitchener.

A interesting anecdote. Barker is fielding 6 open teams this weekend. They have a total of 21 reserves for the 4ths,5ths and 6ths. One of the reasons the 1st XV are stronger is they have some depth this year..1sts to 4th playing Trinity while the 5ths play Knox and 6ths play Scots.

They have had a big influx of kids coming back from other sports which confirms earlier comments posted - i.e - provided Rugby is compulsory for at least one year, kids may go off and play other sports but will come back at some time to play it again.

Knox 4ths are playing Joeys 9ths, Knox 5ths are playing Barker 4th's and Knox's 6ths & 7th are playing a combined game v's Cranbrooks 3rds.

Will Lloyd is without a doubt the best winger on this side of the continent, great running game, strong tackling game and one mean fend. An integral part of the team if lloyd wasn't to make schoolboys this year it would be a serious loss for the team. End of story.

Congratulations to Waverley's Scotty Coleman, appointed as CAS 1st XV Coach.

Good luck to all CAS players and a speedy recovery to injured players so they're back on the field by Round 2, 17th June.
