Brumbie Jack nothing happened because the officials didn't see it. The scuffle was probably 20m away from the main play. From where the Waverley spectators were sitting, it was to the left, and harder to notice - out of the line of vision. Same for the touchies.

From the stand where Trinity sit, it was much easier to notice, almost in a line to the main play, in front of it and slightly to the left. It was clear if you were looking at it, but it's pretty hard to see something if you're not looking in that direction.

He might have dodged a bullet, as I said. Either way, I hope he learns from it.

Now that 2 rounds are completed, any predictions on a CAS 1st XV team?

I've seen Trinity, Barker and Waverley play, so take this with a grain of salt. But from those 3 teams, the following will be in contention. Obviously Knox will feature heavily and I recall Aloys having some good talent (eg Dainton).

1. Wayland (T)
2.
3.
4.
5.
6. Rasch (T)
7. Stead (T) (would be a bolter, probably looking at a 2nd XV or even 16s spot, but was exceptional against Barker)
8.
9. Jordan (W)
10.
11. Mohi (W)
12. Morris (T)
13. Yoannidis (W)
14.
15. Longville (T)

Enough ....... the scuffle happened near a scrum with the referee and/or the touchies having ample opportunity to view it and act on it. This hysterical allegation has gone far enough.

I don't think Sidelineview would agree with you there ?

The officials on the day didn't act on any alleged foul play so its done for both teams. Let it go and look forward to next week.
And just for the record, both players had excellent games last Sat. You'd rather them be for you than against you.

Based on Knox v Barker, and match reports, I've added a few below from Nth of the harbour:

1. Wayland (T)
2.
3.
4.
5. Frost (K)
6. Rasch (T) / Margin (K)
7. Stead (T) (would be a bolter, probably looking at a 2nd XV or even 16s spot, but was exceptional against Barker)
8. Basson (K)
9. Jordan (W)
10. Dainton (A) / Woodcock (K)
11. Mohi (W)
12. Morris (T)
13. Yoannidis (W) / Armstrong (K)
14.
15. Longville (T)

Yr 10 lad Luke Reimer, #8 for Barker, played well on Sat in a soundly beaten team, but won't displace Basson at this stage. He should captain CAS u16s though.

OK enough talk about foul play in games or alleged foul play.

There are four areas at least that we should not write about in a schoolboy forum because they incite abuse whether that be direct or sarcastic.

1. Scholarship issues (use only the scholarship thread for this).

2. Fights - and whose fault it was and "I was at the ground and this is what I saw…" comments.

3. Foul play - and whose fault it was and whether or not it was deliberate and whether of not the punishment was condign, or not - and "I was at the ground and this is what I saw…" comments..

4. Criticism of the referees who are trying their best and are mostly good.

And it doesn't matter if you're right

The season is about to start and mods like Cyclopath and myself, but especially Hugh Jarse, the boss of the schools' threads, will just delete such posts in the future and not necessarily with any explanation.

And this will be done if only a part of a post is untoward - we will zap the lot.

People are encouraged to use the Report function if they see transgressions.

Thank you all.
.

Please read above post. Don't be surprised when cards are issued and posts disappear.

So can I clarify - you're saying if you personally witness foul play you are not permitted to mention it in any way on this thread?

Is that correct?

Moving Rasch into the second row is a must in order to fit the dynamite of Margin and all the tall timber. Frost has to be in the team. You can't coach height. At over 200cm, there are very few rugby players his height - even at super rugby level! In the games I have seen and going on reports from here, I would go with the following:

1) Wayland (T)
2) Coghill (B)
3) Grindall (K)
4) Rasch (T)
5) Frost (K)
6) Margin (K)
7) no real standout - Sideline loves O'Sullivan but no one else does...?
8) Basson (K)
9) Jordan (W)
10) Dainton (A)
11) Mohi (W)
12) Morris (T)
13) Armstrong (K)
14) Slaven (A)
15) Longville (T)

I'm sure this will be dissected apart, and I am happy for that to happen. A healthy discussion on this thread is needed after the nonsense that has been going on. My two cents worth: if there was a post match review committee, there would be approximately 20 people on the sideline every week. The officials didn't see it or act on it, so move on.

Just curious, but is Ansty, Barker prop still injured? Or is he not in contention for other reasons?

Knox had a minor aberration v Joeys. Over worked the week of that game and have returned to their true abilities and will assert their supreme dominance over this competition. On the back of awesome set piece they will create huge time and space for their backs to run riot. I'm expecting their back 3 to show that they deserve to be in CAS 1's contention. Honestly Waves will struggle to contain the Warrawee juggernaut!

CAS needs a legitimate pilfer player at 7. Someone who creates a lot of turnovers and is a pest at the breakdown. Suggestions?

It's a coin toss on Knox v Waverley ... probably the fact that it is at home, would tip things in Knox's favour

I saw the Joeys Knox match ... and the fact that Joeys destroyed Knox at the breakdown and carved up in the backs, probably doesn't mean too much

Joeys in 2016 is an awesome team, and so knox will have put that behind them

I think Waverley's backs are awesome and the fact that Fuller isn't getting more of mention is probably just the fact that Mohi has racked up that many tries ...

If Knox can dominant at the set piece that is where they could starve Waverley's backs

however I personally think Waverley's pack has their measure ... Knox has no equivalent of Swinton in 2016..... and sideline isn't the only one that rates O'Sullivan, and I'll leave the 8 under the radar

as I say it's a coin toss ... and tip for Waverley watch out for that line out move, where goes to the giant at 4 and then he flicks it back in to the hooker, who goes in, in the corner ... it nearly worked against Joeys
