Have you heard about the huge Cranbrook number 9 in the 5th XV? He is a monster. How do we put an end to this?
BREAKING NEWS! Rumours of Klennan (b) playing for barker. Hard to believe but will try and confirm asap.
How bad was Smerdon's (B) injury - is he playing this weekend?
By the way, does anyone know who scored the last try for Trinity? It was number 21 or 22, but there were so many substitutes on the field by then it was hard to tell who was who.
Watching the dying moments of the Trinity/Waverley game it looked like Waverley no.10 Paterson finished the game with what looked like a shoulder injury. The most likely replacement for this is seconds scrum half M.Smallington. Smallington made slotting through gaps at the ruck look too easy and may be the answer to Waverley's far from advanced backline.
Will post more on the extent of the injury when it has been clarified
#22 scored it.
Caused by a very powerful clean-out..
Hopes he's all good to go this weekend. He played very well last week.
Smerdon several weeks. Kirkby also out this week (the starting 9 & 10 from last year's winning team). If ever Cranbrook are to beat Barker it is this week. Not that it would have changed the result but Barker 4 & 5 were suspended from the Knox game for disciplinary reasons.
Paterson was excellent. My assessment of him is that he's going to be really good at this level but may struggle higher up because (a) he will be confronted with defenders who tackle low and hard, and much of what he does at the moment depends on using his upper body strength to barge past defenders, (b) though he runs very strongly, he's short on speed, and (c) I didn't see much evidence of ball skills (though a lack of support gave him limited opportunity to show that he could pass). If he develops a passing game he could be a very handy Lloyd Walker-style centre. Or he may go into League, as I believe his brother did (where he would end up playing lock or second row).
Watched the Barker Knox game last saturday. Barker had no ability to score points in their outside backs. With the lose of Kirkby and Smeardon I can only see this getting worse.

Cranbrook seems to be unchanged - which would mean that they have to start favourites. Can anyone recall the last time they beat Barker?
I highly doubt cranbrook beat barker in 2008 since barker came 2nd to Knox that year. Cranbrook did, however, beat a very weak barker side in 2009 (in both fixtures if I recall correctly)They beat Barker in 2008 - not sure if they have since.
