Couldn't agree more Snort, that is precisely the history.
The concern is going forward. This weekend Aloys will field 13 teams across 5 age groups,
Same as Trinity

This chart may explain a correlation between teams student population and % of background other than English. If you presume the BOTE kids are preferring other sports and subtract them from the student numbers you get approx one team for every 50-60 remaining students. Ie if the remaining pool is 1000 you should have about 20 teams. BOTE numbers seem a bit out of whack at Trinity, 40 seems a more likely number, Knox numbers are a bit of a guess

Classic Flavio. Interesting chart however don't think much of it is true. What's your source or are you just polluting the forums with absolute rubbish?Crikey Flavio where do you get this stuff
Haha. Me too.
The good old days, but there's been a lot of research done on the damage caused by concussions so they're doing the right thing by the players these days.

Feeling the love here.
All the data is from the Myschools website and published team lists, Barker numbers dont include the girls (but they do have 3 sevens teams)
It is not to discourage anyone from playing Rugby, all my kids played club and school and my daughter played sevens. It was in response to the comments about Alos and Trinity not having many teams, now we can see why.
I think it is worth analysing so as the various numbers change we can get an idea of the impact on CAS rugby numbers
I don’t know Trinity’s precise numbers but it has a few more teams than SAC. Not many more. It’s a combination of factors. Demography is one: the communities from which Trinity draws don’t have a big Rugby tradition (though the Indians and Sri Lankans certainly boost the cricket teams). A wide variety of sports are offered. And the line we used to be given at school- “Rugby is a game for all shapes and sizes” is not really true anymore. There are too many massive units going around in school teams for that to hold true these days. Realistically Rugby is a minority sport in most schools now. Which need not be such a bad thing, if it attracts kids who love the game.
Mate for Christ’s sake don’t read offence into what was not intended. For Gods sake lighten up.Interesting point of view however don’t standby the racial profiling of the Indian and Sri Lankan community. Thought you were better than this and wouldn’t expect someone on the forum to say something along those lines. Recommend deleting your comment and writing an apology to anyone you may have potentially offended.

Best matchups player wise for this Friday night? I think both teams have a lot of skilled players on their own whilst also being dominate teams when these players work together. I've heard some big names floating around this page with the likes of Rechner etc. Everyone's thoughts?
