I agree with you absolutely. A previous post of mine confirms this, even though i was referring to Cranbrook...it applies to Aloys as well.
"The easy preseason (thus far) for Cranbrook only increases the challenge faced in R1 against Barker @ Barker. The best Brook can hope for is an injury free start to the CAS."
When it was a home & away competition (10 rounds - albeit briefly) the preseason wasn't as long and Brook and Aloys weren't locked into playing only the weaker opposition. I thought Cranbrook was playing Aloys this weekend, but according Jim from the TAS/GPS forum it's TAS we are playing - who are Aloys playing? Good luck.

I understand that in the past Cranbrook may have been successful but this year Cranbrook's opposition is poor. Pius (bottom of ISA), Sydney Grammar (3rd Grade comp) and such are not going to test Cranbrook. Trinity on the other hand have vs Newington and Shore who are much bigger tests. And the same is similar for Knox, Barker and Waverly. So although Brook may have a strong team, like Aloys a weak set of trial games will not test those boys.
