Still can't find anywhere who got on the plane to SA. I know Mitchell didn't and I know from tweeting that Izzy did. Anyone got a definitive list?

I sent a message to the Waratahs facebook page asking for the squad that went to South Africa and got a reply saying that the team would be announced on Thursday and then the following Thursday for the Kings game.

I replied that most teams have announced their touring squads when they've gone to South Africa and was wondering who went and how many they took but I haven't had a reply yet.

To get a quicker response you should phone up every hotel in Pretoria and ask to be put through to Mr Cheikas room. You might rack up some hefty international phone bills but you'll get more info than from the Tahs facebook page.

That would be expensive. They're not staying in Pretoria.

Oh no? I assumed they would be based there for a week then back down to PE. Are they just doing the FIFO from PE over 24 hours for the Bulls game?

just a thought: maybe they dont want us to know.... let us all assume they took the same 22 that played last friday, then BAM!, out runs Berrick Barnes, risen from the brink of injury to kick the tahs to a famous victory

Bulls are going along nicely and are always difficult to beat in Pretoria. Waratahs are coming off their best win in years, are really starting to play well and most importantly are playing with confidence.

It will be difficult and in these sort of games and things have to go your way. At least we can say that we are in with a reasonable chance. We certainly need to play at full speed for the full 80 minutes though. I can't see the Bulls letting us get away with a 20 minute siesta.

If ever there was a perfect time for this trip it's now, we've had a bye to freshen up and a good hard win against a quality side like the Chiefs. This gives me some confidence, notwithstanding the opposition and the location.

I think it's a shame we have the road trip now. It would be GREAT to have another home game after that gutsy Chiefs win. I think we might even get a decent crowd. To carry the excitement through, the team really needs to win both games and then have the Stormers match have some real weight to it.

This game is big in the scheme of things. A win in Pretoria would really get the confidence up and keep the momentum going. Two wins in SA and back home for the on the road Stormers would be a great platform to take on the Brumbies.

We'll do very well to come out of this match with one bonus point, the Bulls at Loftus are an extremely daunting opponent. Not for one moment do I suggest we should run up the white flag and not try to win, I'm just being realistic.

The Kings, on the other hand, if the Tahs can repeat last Saturday's performance.....

Saw a picture of Will Skelton in SA on Folau's twitter

Lopeti and Holloway playing for Souths this weekend.

Luke Holmes for Warringah but no Tilse, Hodge, Carter or Kingston for Uni

If they took 26, the 22 from Friday minus Mitchell + Skelton, Tilse, Carter, Kingston and Hodge

Pretty light on forwards

I guess if they need to send any replacements after the Bulls game, players will be called straight after the Tahs game (at 3am Sunday morning or so) to fly out on Sunday morning (same time as when the team left last Sunday).

Of course they want the replacements over there ASAP if required, but it would be no fun sitting in an airliner seat (economy class I presume) for several hours less than a day after a full game of grade rugby. They'd be doing a few laps of the cabin to unwind those muscles.

Those players mentioned as add-ons to the 21 left from Friday are confirmed as being with the Tahs in the RSA.

Geez Willie must be going OK in Cheika's eyes to get precedence over Peterson and Atkins. Can't see it myself though he played with a bit of energy in the two games of the PNC (Pacific Nations Cup) that I saw.

PS: IIRR SANZAR limits touring parties to 26.

I can't see pro teams sending players in cattle class for any flights more than 4 or 5 hours, especially if they want a quick recovery.
