once again, for the newbies on the board, every year we do Player of the Match votes after each game involving an Aussie team. It is soley for Aussie players and we accumumlate the votes through the season to ultimately come up with the Player of the season for each of the Aussie teams and, obviously, overall.

Voting is pretty easy. Your basic 3, 2, 1. 3 for the best performer, down the line.

You don't have to vote if you didn't see the match. Try to keep discussion pretty minimal.

No Donkey votes eg 3 pnts to the referee, or 2 pnts to daylight.

And it is 3-2-1s for each team.

I didn't see the match, so you first...

3. Palmer - Just 'cause it is so good to see an Aussie scrum held so solidly.
2. Coleman
1. Squeaky

3 - Coleman
2 - Palmer
1 - Moore

By insisting on playing at 10, Gits may have handed the Wallaby 12 shirt to Coleman. Well... only kidding, but give it another year.

His run leading to his try was electric. Saw a small opening and flew straight through. There was a comment on his size but it appears he's a little man that plays big similar to Horne.

3 Palmer - for services to propping
2 Salvi - for mongrel
1 McCabe - for delivering repeatedly

Moore also good, but not spectacular by his standards, Valentine good effort.

3. Robbie Coleman - Little fellow was darting through like he was playing sevens.
2. Dan Palmer - Dominant scrum in the first half-hour. Chiefs evened it up a bit after that. Ma'afu was also pretty good when he came on after 50 mins.
1. Francis Fainifo - Good game overall with some tackle-busting runs, just couldn't get to Masaga for that last Chiefs try.

Don't you count the three penalties he gave away in 30 Minutes at the scrum? Did he pack 6 scrums for a 50% penalty rate.

3. Coleman - Great debut, a handful in attack and solid in defence. Note that Coleman led the defence forward.
2. Palmer - As I said in the match thread, a rock to build the set piece on and appears to have improved his loose game somewhat also.
1. McCabe - Leg drive ala another of my Favorite Brumbies Clyde Rathbone.

I didn't count him as giving away 3 penalties, no, but will see to be corrected on that. The Chiefs scrum did regain parity, though, before Ma'afu came on.
