Looking forward to this, been a long time since you could say this derby felt as meaningful as it used to back in the heyday.

Winner should top Australian conference for mine.

Know this will get dismissed for bias, but I felt like the Tahs came out if Sunday's match pretty upbeat dispite the loss and with the brumbies flying home from SA the Tahs may get over the top in. The final 20 or so.

The Chiefs didn't look jet lagged in their game against the Canes and the Brumbies fitness training has been superb this year. Also the Brumbies were back in Canberra by the time the Tahs had their game against the Crusaders. I don't think it's going to be a big factor.

As for Steve Walsh, I'll just repeat what cyclopath had to say in the Tom Carter thread.

A lot will depend on who is healthy, Kepu limped off late on Sunday to add to the fun and Robinson didn't return at that time, they moved Ulugia to THP o_O ..... and we collapsed the next series of scrums.

Should be a great game

I love it when both teams groan at the ref appointment.

I want to see an injury report before I make a call, but I reckon the Tahs might struggle. I've been very impressed with the Brumbies -- very deserving of their spot on the ladder.

FFS Steve Walsh.... :( Back to BIGGER and better things... PALU VS AUELUA!

What Tah backline should we expect?

The Tahs had some pretty good defence, Tom Carter was the weak point for them. If he spends this week getting out of touch rugby, the Tahs might just starve the Brumbies of points until they give up the ball.

Pretorius is an amazing scrum half and I'm hoping to see him for the majority of this game. Lacking that, the Tahs might have more trouble than justified at the breakdown.

Dennis v Hooper will be nice to see, I don't know who I rate higher. This should settle it.

The forward pack at the Brumbies is pretty damn good, but the Tahs are good enough to hold them off if they play at their best. The back line, on the other hand, lies pretty firmly in the Brumbies favour. I want to see who is placed in 11 to deal with Tom Kingston though, he is extraordinary.

Brumbies to win in a victory for rugby by 12. Adventure versus fear of failure. Auelua to play himself into the Wallabies June Squad.

I'm going to quote you on that Slim. Given the Tahs are 3 from 20 under Kaplan now (according to Gnostic) I'd prefer Jake White refereeing

You see, it wasn't a Tom Carter thread until the detritus of the Tom Carter threadlet was merged with the Tahs v Crusaders thread.
But yeah, I see where you're going!
