All the noise so far has been coming from the journos.

First to ask the Tahs questions about the Dublin incident which they denied.

Then to ask the Brumbies the same questions which they have denied.

Realistically, this is what you want. Enough media beat up to keep the fans interested during the week, but the teams focusing on the match on the weekend.

I reckon this will be the game of the Aussie Conference this year.

Tahs are on fire - big brutal forwards and slick backs.

Brums will try and hold on but the bit of extra feeling emanating from the Mowen incident mainly against Tahs Wallabies will motivate those Tahs lads further.

Great game coming up !!!

I'm hoping it lives up to the hype and is a close one. My oldest boy is ball boy for the game, and is pretty pumped.

Tell him not to get too close to the sideline. Having watched the intensity of the Tahs training session, I'd rather stand in front of a hurtling locomotive than some of the Tahs forwards.

He's a big boy, plays rugby and water polo, and is a pretty massive unit himself. That being said, the only one I wouldn't want him to get anywhere near is Potgeiter. They're kept fairly well back off the sidelines anyway.

The thing about this game is how many key injuries the Brumbies have - Lilo, Pocock, Fotu, and with Tomane under a cloud a well.

The Tahs are practicularly full strength.

Kuridrani looked short of a gallop vs the Reds, which was to be expected. I thought he looked better against the Canes. Nice spin for his try. He will be a handful if he gets a bit of steam up, or a bit of space I think.

The only Brumbies listed on the injury list are:

  • Fotu Auela - Knee (Round 12)
  • Christian Lealiifano - Ankle (Test)
  • David Pocock - ACL (Season)

Three pretty big names.

As Ash said Tahs are basicly full strength with Lance being the only one who would have been near the side anyway.

  • Mitchell Chapman - Ankle (Indefinite)
  • Michael Hodge - Lower Back (Indefinite)
  • Jono Lance - Ribs (TBC)

It is going to be a cracker of a game.

I think Chapman would be in the 23 if he hadn't been injured.

Hoiles has proved to be an excellent replacement though (although not like for like). If Chapman hadn't got injured, it's unlikely Hoiles would have been given a contract.

That said, clearly the Brumbies have more injury problems at this stage of the season than the Tahs do.

Also.........

Mowen revealed he didn't know about the Wallabies' Dublin fiasco until informed by team management more than 24 hours after the late-night session which resulted in the suspension of six players.

Mowen's lineout prowess is the biggest issue the Tahs face.

Don't think either team will be complacent but the Ponies will be happy at home after slapping the Canes and carrying a bit of momentum. Remains to be seen whether the Tahs can unlock a pretty stingy defence with the razzle dazzle, because they've made a shitload of mistakes the last few weeks.

Won't be more than a few points in it either way.

I'm calling this for the Brumbies.

Didn't want to commit to a call, but got a feeling, so they say. Too much noise and confidence from the Tahs, and too many stupid forwards who are likely to be done technically by being too fired up and losing the plot. Lineout is a big worry for them as well, Mowen is going to wreak havoc on Tahs ball, and Moore is so much more accurate than Taf.

Bernie hates the Tahs more than anyone and will have the Brumbies fired up, but this shit about Dublin is just going to make the Brumbies bind closer together. They've lost Pocock, so they know they have to step it up across the paddock, and now that there is talk of targetting the captain and Moore, they're going to amp up more.

No Lealiifano is our biggest issue, but Bernie is one of the most tactically switched on players in our history, he'll be cooking something up from left field.

Brumbies by 12+ as the Tahs deflate in the 2nd half.

Ah OK. I was not sure of Chapman's standing.
