As Slim says, another example of the gulf between aussie & kiwi teams. I suspect its going to be a long dark winter for the wobblies too - any delusions of this being our year for the bledisloe have been dispelled, and it will require a significant improvement to beat the unwashed northerners as well.
not necessarily so. our best 23 is not that weaker than theirs, but their next four 23's are about the same as our best one. thats the difference and it shows in Super rugby

If Cheika can trick the group into believing it's another team and not the unbeatable All Blacks. Australia has the talent they just need to stop thinking their beaten before the game starts.

That is one way of looking at it! I would argue our best 23 is weaker than theirs in nearly all positions, and agree that their next four 23's are about the same as our best.

That is to say they are not only better, man for man, across the park but also have much more depth in nearly all positions.

I guess its not really on topic here anyway, so lets wait and see how it plays out down the track.

One thing is for sure its going to be a tougher fight for the top spot on the aussie conference than we expected a few weeks ago!

Fuck yeah. We'll leave the circle-jerking to the Kiwis and let them have a soggy Sao contest for the trophy ;)

Fucking April premiers, I tell ya!

Make sure you turn the lights off when you leave, cuzzy bros ;)

No worries - the bullshit conference system might allow the Brumbies to qualify "ahead" of the better NZ sides.

Please tell me all the sporting leagues in the world where conference/division winners aren't ranked ahead of teams that don't when it comes to playoffs.

What about #10? I was actually wondering who the AB 10 is going to be, Cruden hardly did anything in the last game and Beaugan and the Peruvian capital are pretty error prone for Test rugby. Is Cruden that much better than Foley?
What about #7? Or the front row?

Doesn't take long for one bitch to get you lot to show your true colours in what you really think of us kiwis huh Wamb & pfitz.
I actually go along with Braveheart on this and I said when almost everyone was moaning at beginning of year, it may not be exactly fair, but thems the breaks, I still think the best few teams end up playing the finals, and that happens in all conference systems.

1 out of 23 ain't bad.

Well, aside from the Todd turnover Fardy was a standout, and Tomane is still the most dangerous player in the team but he just doesn't get the same kind of support the Kiwi teams get when a player makes a break...............

Some of the Brumbies players had their moments, but just as a cohesive unit they seemed unable to capitalise on opportunities............

And as soon as they made a mistake the 'saders punished them.

Tomane has looked really impressive this season, standout winger in Aus Super Rugby at the moment I would say. Fardy has also been great. Ben Alexander amazed with that kick and chase tackle today - never would have thought he could do that, really good chasing.

That turnover should be chalked up to Lilo - the ball arrived either at the same time or after Todd and Fardy had no way to make it secure.
I think the Brumbies caught something from the Tahs last week.
They looked crap from the get go so while my head says NZ are just too good for us my heart says if the Brums had started with more of their usual purpose it would have been a different ball game.
Their fullback hasn't convinced me he's up to this.

Come on Dan, one response to one bitch? And that defines our attitude?

You buggers do take yourselves very very seriously, don't you?

After all this time I still haven't worked out why the fuck you bother posting on this site, since it's pretty much whining or gloating. I mean if you contributed anything useful now and then...

Nah, I just hate conference systems. And I consistently make this point every year. I don't care other sports do it, I don't like it being done in my game. I know its about TV rights, spreading the audience around, "growing the game".... etc, but I think it devalues the competition.

If all Aussie sides were better than all the Kiwi sides - then all should finish ahead. You won't hear me complaining about it.

As it stands, the Rebels (22 points) qualify in a better position than the Saders (33 points). THE FUCKIN REBELS!!!

It's bullsheet.

Frank you madman! WFT have you done? It's THEIR site, they're the only ones who can grin & goad. Any foreign prick stupid & lost enough to sign up here should just quietly sit back and cop it.

Although wft, some of us have nowhere else to go.

If I rejoined The Silver Frown now, old crotch-faced Baron Semen Brokeback would probably vacate the entire contents of his bowels into his old man nappies within seconds in his shin-barking mad delirious haste to reban me.

fine then fuyck ya! we'll build our own fuckin forum! takes all of 30 seconds to belt up a proboards.com freebie, we'll make Byron Kelleher's dog the fuckin moderator

ya gotta admit though cyclo, the conf system is some real ribbon-for-everyone bullshit. You'd call it if Aus was kicking arse

Couple of points, Sad Knobdobber ( I just thought of that).
We have plenty of good Kiwi posters, and you :p , and we love the input and different perspective, as is the case from all our "international" posters, give or take a few.
The few can contribute something good - insight, wit, clever sledging, hilarious photojournalism, pointy-end-of-the-spear Photoshopping, homespun wisdom, stupendous rugby knowledge or some such, or find somewhere else to be a boil.
I'm not a massive fan of the size of the Super Comp, but I understand the financial reality of it, and I know its weaknesses. But even when an Aussie team wins the comp occasionally, we hear that "the Reds were lucky 'cos it was a RWC year and the Kiwis were resting players, and the Tahs only got it for Joubert, blah blah blah", and it comes from one angle. The hubris of a few is tiresome.
Good luck training Byron's cur to stop gargling his nuts long enough to take out the trash occasionally. :)
Cyclo out.
