Well I have to say was hoping for dry track, but stuff it rugby a winter sport so it is what it is condition wise. Can I mention I am officially bloody excited that the tests are starting?

The upside is that fans of the losing side will be able to blame an Aussie which will appeal to a very broad demographic!
I predict at least one contentious card and one contentious try.

Hell Cyclo you only have to come into this or other rugby forums to know that a good percentage of tries are contentious to the other team's supporters, disallowed ones should of been allowed, and any yellow card is going to be bloody unfair to that team's supporters, and are all watched with both eyes wide open:cool:

Latest forecast is for pretty much zero rain between midday tomorrow & early hours of Sunday. But, it's Auckland, so anything from the odd shower to a "where the fuck did that come from?" downpour, or both (or, equally, neither) are still very much on the cards.

Invariably we are not intimidated statements on Fridays, are followed by admissions of embarrassment on Sunday.
Here's another tip for the Lions, stare down the Haka tomorrow night, that also always works out well :)

The British & Irish Lions, respectful of Rieko Ioane, clap him onto the Eden Park pitch prior to the first test against the New Zealand Rugby Football All Blacks.

Auckland rain radar clearing nicely as forecast, hopefully we'll get good conditions for the game. Also looks like it'll be cool but not cold, somewhere around 14C which isn't too bad for this time of year. Sticking with AB by a TMO decision :)

No no no no.

I have seen far too much of the All Blacks and Kiwi teams winning in my lifetime.

I'm supporting the Lions for two reasons:

+ The continued dominance of the All Blacks is shit house for World Rugby, and more pertinently, Australian rugby.

+ I want to observe the desperate tears of All Blacks supporters on Reddit as they try to rationalise the loss. It was beautiful after the Crusaders / Chiefs games and the sheer magnitude of a All Blacks loss has both me and them frothing at the mouth.

"The Lions don't even play Rugby"

"Northern hemisphere refs don't know the rules"

"The Lions have been cheating all tour"

Can you imagine.

For me Lions are too close to England to support. As wrong as this sounds (even to me) I want the All-Blacks to win and win by embarrassingly large margins. The rest of the world needs to understand what we deal with all the time. Also have an English mate who is a bit too cocky at the moment.

I want running rugby to win over kick, clap and maul

Go the ABs!

And it will be, but only after the AB pack demolish the Loins in all phases of the game.

I don't mind a bit of good kicking, in moderation. It is the mindless, directionless, hopeless stuff that bores me.

I think we have to stand with our southern neighbours on this one..........

I want to see an unprecedented humiliation of the Lions, supported by an absolute masterclass in attacking rugby from the AB's.

I also feel that the Lions deserve such punishment by re-appointing Gatland, and his Welsh heavy squad selection despite them being the weakest of the four nations.

And it's my general rule that you support anyone playing against England, which this team is also largely made up of.
