And Ranger drops another. He's going to be on negative fantasy points by the end of this game!

Blues have been having a few problems with their lineout and the 'Saders pinch one.

Toeava seems a bit too willing to kick instead of running the ball back or passing it on to me.

You can't win a game if you drop as much ball as the Blues are doing. 'Saders are already looking fairly like a well oiled machine, although they wasted that ball off the scrum by grubbering to touch.

Hobbs has to be yellow carded for a coat hanger on Crotty...yet somehow he stays on the park.

Interesting to see how both 10's play in this game. Has anyone seen Hobbs play this year, yet to see much of this kid.

Haven't seen Hobbs play this year, but he had a season over with the Uni Colts when James Hanson captained them to a Premiership. I can say he's a tough kid - copped a haematoma to the testicle in the U19 World Cup in a game against Wales

In the Blues/Saders game there was a total of 65 tactical kicks or kicks out of hand (29 Blues, 36 Saders).
In the Brumbies/Force game, 62 (28 Brumbies, 34 Force).

On average, no team carried the ball for longer than 40 seconds without resorting to kicking it…

Good start to the season from both teams and I reckon they'll meet up in the finals again.
Is it just because he's a nice bloke that Mealamu got away with a blatant elbow to the side of the head of Todd (I think it was)?
Still, that was nothing compared to what he and Umaga got away with on O'Driscoll.

This was definitely the game of the round. Both teams should feature strongly at the end of the season but I do think the Blues let one get away.
