All the broadsheets are becoming more like tabloids. The problem is that with the internet newspapers can tell which articles get read and which ones don't and unfortunately the majority of people are ignorant morons who want to know what coffee angelina jolie drinks rather than actual news. F#ck I hate my generation, seriously I wish emo becomes mainstream and my gen Y compatriots off themselves. On a lighter note I thought I would share with you my favourite headline ever and it is particularly relevant given this weeks opposition "NZ finds Black Cocks hard to swallow"

That's a bit of a shocker.

Sometimes sub editors get it just right though.

They really are pretty ordinary with a lot of what gets published. I think a lot of the problem stems from sub-editors making a sensational headline out of an innocuous story or quote, as in the OP. They know trans-Tasman bickering and spite gets on-line hits up the wazoo.

I find that I wake up, open RugbyHeaven, think better of it and come to these forums instead.

And we're happy to have you here. RugbyHeaven is where I turn on a slow news day. Then I see Growden has 10 articles and go to Foxsports.

Me too, then I read some of the comments on Foxsports and give up on reading sports news for the day.The problem is that Foxsports don't require any kind of identification of a poster (except an email address which isn't published), and every knob in the world feels free to vomit garbage anonymously on there.

I choose to read the first two comments. The go to the next article in disgust

The Jake White beat up Paul Cully published has already roped in way too many of the Canberra anti-Fagan brigade...

There's a poll on the Crimes website and most people think White is leaving now...

Yeah I saw that. They created two articles out of the one conversation probably. I doubt Jake White is dumb enough to say he wants to leave before the start of the Super Rugby season with 4 years on his contract.

NZ Herald is somewhere else to turn. Provides a different perspective. The media beat-up is infuriating. Mentioned in an article on Rugby Heaven about the Wallabies press conference was that a NZ reporter and O'Connor played paper-scissors-rock during it. How does that have any relevance to what is being said by the players about the up coming game? I come here to get all my rugby news. And to laugh at the banter being thrown around.

I think the big news was that the NZ reporter won. They need to cling to any advantage they can find it seems.

Thanks. Just went over there. Looked at the 20 greatest NZ players. Shit. They have consistently produced some peerlessly awesome players.

Vitriol against Bryce Lawrence is presumably trying to avoid him reffing the final

For a small country and population the players that have and are being produced is ridiculous

I'm turning to the Australian first for rugby news now. Harris and Smith are probably the only decent print rugby journos in this country.

Sorry, for actual rugby news I come here first, then the Australian.
