Yea to a certain extent I agree but what attempt is made to side with humility when a loss occurs is normally clouded over by some bad play or decision made by the AB's or even more so by some incompetent official or wrong rules been used rather than admitting to been beaten by a better side on the day.

Anyway may the best side win come Saturday.

Or fabricating tales of cheating.

Slipper - maybe. But I would have Justice 4 Al.

If he hadn't been injured Scarfman I would have had him starting all year. But he hasn't played sine his neck injury. Any club men from Norths able to say how the Fuse is travelling? You are right though and I am still questioning the wisdom of putting Alexander straight back in after a pretty bad injury. He wasn't 100% in the Shield and in the last game against Randwick the Woodies scrum was well contained even though they played Robinson, ALexander, Dunning and Fitzpatrick. Three Wallaby props against two virtual unknowns and Kepu. I think Alexander will be targetted in this test, and how much damage will that do and what further preconcieved idea will Refs form of what is now a first choice Wallaby front row?

Muttonbrain, just for you, a sample of the comments on my YouTube video (48,194 views 8)).

First comment:
i really appreciate these clips from GGR, they're as good and often better than what fox/sky put up. Some arrows etc would have made it perfect.

Be interested to see what the reaction is about the heretical criticism of Saint McCaw will be though ;)

Well, we found out.

hahahaha shame all blacks way beta than the wallibies and boks u sore losers

pascops boy you are deperate aint you...the wally's suck dogs balls because they seriously lack talent...cut and dry...its all the convict genetics that are crumbling under ab pressure and here you are meticulously sifting looking for an excuse for your hopeless team...you are a sad little insect...whinging convict

Wata homo, stop talking shit, you dont no shit about rugby.

racist idiot needs a hug

Pascops come clean btw, Im sure youre on O'neils payroll. This guy is most probably the video analyst for the Wallabies FFS!

You whinging prick haven't you got anything better to do than cry about getting your arse whipped again.....it's not tiddly winks mate.........go play soccer if you don't like getting touched.

This guy obviously has no idea about the rules of Rugby Union.I wonder if he has actually read the rule book?!

I'll give the maker of this video credit because it is very well put together and there are valid arguments, but they are pretty much all wrong unfortunately..

if all these things are sooooooo bad, why isnt the ref picking them up?

stop being a sore looser you lost! plain and simple .. you cant win every game you stupid bok.. check the records on whos the most sucessful rugby team of all time!

you are knobhead smith was dragged out of the way by the SA defenders. Grow a brain

your an idiot! it's players driving over there ball to keep possession! It's called ball security!

And last of all, my favourite comment:

LMAO! This analysis is SO flawed it's not even worth commenting on.

Anyway Muttonbrain, pick one of these comments, or all of them, and consider the point well made.

Just a touch of paranoia in their Gnostic.

Either you rate your front row, or you don't. If they are any good (which I think they are) then the results speak for themselves. If they are shit, then they will get pushed back and or penalised. If referee's decide to penalise them, then so be it. They need to adapt/change.

They will get some calls against them, they will get some for them. It seems a bit lame, to be worrying now, about perceived referee's paranoia, which I'm guessing is on the back of MC's interview & his comments (which if you ask me, were sour grapes of the highest order - but that's another discussion for another day).

Think the secret to this test will be match sharpness. How many of the All Blacks played ITM rugby?
1. Tony Woodcock (69)
2. Keven Mealamu (80)
3. Owen Franks (17)
4. Brad Thorn (46)
5. Tom Donnelly (13)
6. Jerome Kaino (33)
7. Richie McCaw - captain (89)
8. Kieran Read (25)
9. Jimmy Cowan (41)
10. Daniel Carter (74)
11. Josevata Rokocoko (66)
12. Ma'a Nonu (52)
13. Conrad Smith (41)
14. Cory Jane (21)
15. Mils Muliaina (89)

Reserves:
16. Hikawera Elliot (uncapped)
17. John Afoa (25)
18. Samuel Whitelock (8 )
19. Daniel Braid (4)
20. Alby Mathewson (1)
21. Stephen Donald (19)
22. Isaia Toeava (26)

MR I won't bother because as with the Scarfman video and the Justice for Al one before that you will just refuse to see the point being made.

Paarl that won't make any difference at all because none of the Wallabies have played at all since the end of the Shute Shield and I don't think there is a starting player who played in the final and only three on the bench (Burgess, Barnes and Mumm)

Which are 2 things I won't comment on because I'm sick to death of one & the other I agreed to disagree ages ago.

I haven't a slightest clue what your point is - I think mine was pretty clear. You can agree or disagree, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

Or fabricating tales of cheating.

The rest of the world can see it with their eyes, the numbers prove it, your players even admit it, but you keep baaaing on in splendid denial, even when no one's mentioned it.

Do you guys get a grant from the NZRFU department of misguided misinformation? They buy you a PC and a phoneline that you can sit in front of in your undies?

How long ago did they play? Mils , Donald & Cowan played two weeks ago? Rok maybe a few weeks back.

Like I qouted the players will take some time to get rid of the rust and will play a huge role in this one.

Many Saffer keep on throwing this burn out issue but I am really worried when we play Ierland about rusted players specially the Brutes lot.

My point MR is that Alexander is being rushed back in at the highest level. He was barely fit four or five weeks ago and didn't excel in the club game I mentioned. I think at his best Alexander is a world class prop or at least up there with them, but I am worried that he is not at his best and as all know here I have no faith in Deans here.

The rest of my comment is that considering the pre-conceived ideas and obvious bias which saw the end of Al Baxter's career I do not wish to see that taint attach itself to Alexander. Already we have seen the NH comentary return to expecting the worst from the Aus front row thanks to Ma'afu, Finger and Daley against England. And this is the area that you will disagree with as you have in the past. It isn't a conspiracy theory. I do not see any conspiracy, it is pure psychology of the officials and a situation which the Wallabies brought on themselves through the total neglect of the scrum from 2002 to 2007.

Gnostic - good post, I wish you'd replied with that first.

My point is that Alexander/Robinson have already proved themself above this sort of slander - did you read any of the press in the NH after the last match? It was shock, awe & praise at the front row. I am happy to agree to disagree on the preconceived notions about previous players - that's fine.

I just dont' think this case can be applied to your current props as they have already proved themself at this level. I've read many quotes stating that Robinson is world class / best in the world etc. Thus, I'll be disappointed if he gets his arse handed to him, the old theories of pre conceived notions start coming out of the woodwork again.

Paarl, the three I quoted played in the Shute Shield GF five? weeks ago add Mitchell and Chisholm the week before that and then Robinson, Alexander, and Turner the week before that. So pretty much 7 weeks since some of the players had a game and the end of the 3N since the bulk of the Wallabies played. Rustiness cannot be used as an excuse by the ABs. I do not even have to mention the fact that the Shield is essentially an amateur comp.

Gagger, have you been chugging the sippin whiskey? Better calm down man and pace yourself, you go off early and miss the main event so to speak.

Well I did not try to say they will use it as an excuse. (look like some is a bit tense here) I mean it may help them.

Yeah, that's a lot of fan mail Scarfman. Good job you are so thick-skinned.

Seriously though, you have made a fantastic site here. I didn't congratulate you at the time of your retirement but I think G'n'R Rugby is the most comprehensive and polished Rugby fan site I've seen and I really enjoy having it on my favourites bar. It will perform a great service to Australian Rugby and Rugby beyond for many years to come.

The Video, however popular, was widely seen as baseless and inflammatory both here in New Zealand and abroad and I share that view regardless of your intention when making it.

Also, I unreservedly apologise for calling you gay-sounding in my very first G'n'R post. I hope you enjoy the game on Saturday night.
