Much better option than their next best - Mitchell/Turner at fullback?

In terms of attack i see no problem having Kurtley at 5/8, im sure he will perform quite well..

The only problem i see for the Waratahs is absence of the Barnes defensive front, his somewhat of a lynchpin for the waratahs back-line defensively, kurtley may have improved his defence over the past 24months, but his still no where near the quality of Barnes.

Agree TOCC - KB (Kurtley Beale)'s individual defence has improved termendously, but can he lead the defensive line in the same way as Barnes?

Keen to see him have another go at it, though.

Beale is more of an attacking 10 (think cooper). I have no worries with his defence. I think that Beale's play will suit Mitchell, Pakalani and Turner. I think he will be a revelation and BB will need to fight for his spot

if KB (Kurtley Beale) finds his feet at 5/8 then the only one struggling for his spot will be TC, BB will be a shoe-in when fit....

Lets just hope LB provides him with good ball, i wonder who will play 15? LT or DM?

CH has some tough decisions this week!

The article says he hasn't done too well at 10 in the past - he went pretty close to a s14 title playing there.

A lot of people forget that, it was only in his first year of pro football too, think of how much better, physically and experience wise, he is now.

The issue becomes how to manage the counter from 15, Turner kicks too often and Mitchell doesn't pass enough. Playing against the Chiefs back three. who are just getting into gear, kicking balls away could be deemed insane.

I thought Beale was considered the best fullback in Australia.

IMO fullback suits his skillset best, but he needs time to reach his potential in this position.

I reckon Hickey can expect a colourful phonecall from Dingo if he goes ahead with this plan.

KB (Kurtley Beale) will be a revelation at 10. Barnes will end up playing 12 for the rest of the season and TC will be relegated to the bench. FINALLY.
