ok, I've just got to try harder not to get sucked in to your Shiggins like efforts. The way I see it, the Drua were well outclassed when the Reds starting side was on the field. Only when the replacements were made did the Drua start to fire. Have to say there is a worrying drop off in quality to some of the present Reds bench players.
If Banks can lift to play like this regularly it would be great...1. Bell - not to his usual standard but overall better than all others. HM Harry Lloyd.
2. McInerney - schooled Uelese and no other No 2 stood out.
3. Ala'alatoa - his usual top class effort.
4. Frost - half of the outstanding locking duo this week. Monster at lineout and maul.
5. Hooper - best performance from a lock by some measure.
6. Valetini - now world class and put in a world class performance. Absolutely dominant.
7. Gamble - on par with Brown and best performers this week. Unsure if Brown is Wallaby eligible.
8. Wilson - edged out Harris with the two best No 8 performances.
9. White - ran the show. No other No 9 in the race this week.
10. Donaldson - top class game management and massive boot. Looking good for Gold.
11. Flook - good performer in a week of pretty ordinary wingers. Great effort to save what looked a certain try.
12. Stewart - warming to Stewart for his wholehearted performances. Just edged out Simone.
13. Paisami - by the length of Flemington Straight.
14. Wright - easily the top performing winger this week.
15. Banks - outstanding game with plenty of both attacking and defensive highlights.
Almost gave the No 9 jersey to Ian Prior for listening in to the call discussion between the Tahs prop and hooker.
If Banks can lift to play like thisregularlyagainst quality opposition it would be great...
To’omua?Fair enough, it wasn't intended as a snipe, only that I remain unconvinced and need to see more of it. But yes, credit where credit is due, he played a great game, if not player of the round then very close to it.
I've put Petaia back on the wing and in a week that no #10 stood out I gave it to To'omua in a tight call, the 'opposition difficulty' weighting getting him over the line.

Yeah look I’m not advocating for him to be the Wallabies 10, or even stay there for the Rebels:To’omua?
Surely you jest?
The Rebels need Carter Gordon at 10, To’omua at 12.Yeah look I’m not advocating for him to be the Wallabies 10, or even stay there for the Rebels:
Pasitoa was awful
Donaldson was good for 30 minutes
JOC (James O'Connor) seems to be the default pick but didn’t really stand out IMO
Lolesio was OK but should have schooled the Rebels and didnt
MT was OK and had a harder task than JOC (James O'Connor) and Lolesio
Its academic as I’ll be the only one to pick him, but I’ll stick with it.
After my comments on Friday night, I’m surprised but would have to agree.Round 5

10 & 15 the two spots I found hardest to pick this week. Really not sure any of the 10s stood up and with To'omua, Lolesio & Donaldson all taking early marks with injury ir was a challenge. At 15 I thought all the fullbacks were pretty decent, but all probably fell a bit short on being really dominant in their spot. Line ball between Harrison, Petaia & Banks.
Any comments on the Wallaby Camp squad? Reds seem to be lightly represented again.
