At what stage of the season is the NSW GPS comp? Not surprised the Qlders ran out puff given they have not played a game in anger yet this season.[/quote

Nsw gps have only played 2 games of the first round before the current school holidays

Agree the 7 for the 2nds was outstanding. I think it was the Barker lad Burkett , deserves a reward

So only the bare 23 named even though the Australia schools have a three match / 2 test match tour of NZ?

Should also be noted that this is a Fiji schoolboy outfit that knocked off NZ last year at St Mary's. I can also imagine the game vs the NZ schoolboy BArbarians will be a lovely walk in the park too!

It's always pleasant To play a social game against 23 massively pissed off kiwis who are all on a mission to prove to the NZ schoolboys selectors that they got it wrong.

OK - ASRU possibly flying injury replacements into NZ as they might need them or taking an expanded squad?

It's also a Bit disappointing there's no inbound tour as it would have been good to have an Australia A team to recognise some of the outstanding rugby played by the boys over the week.

Also at some stage we need to go thru the team lists and work out who's back for next year for NSW. I'm Really starting to like this NSW v NSW Final thing!

Very interesting 3 x Vic and 3 x ACT good to see players get a chance at higher honours, even if someone has pulled some strings here to get the 6 in. I just hope when all 26 leave school they continue to play club rugby because this is where some of the above players need to show other players how good they are and help deliver better rugby after leaving school into club land. I just hope like usual they don't disappear to do other things or another sport. Good luck to the selected players and into the future with their rugby because the disappointment from players missing out on competing at the ASRU Nationals and also the players who had the opportunity to compete this week will be improving to get better, stronger and show the selected players when they next play them in school or in club rugby next year, how they have improved. Hence why I am "Loving Jnr Rugby"

@Cattledog, they named 23 of the 26 player touring squad today. 3 names are still TBA (possibily waiting confirmation on injuries etc).

Players selected to be shadow will be receiving letters from ASRU soon.
