That bit is weird.
I understand putting them under fatigue and high stress situations. You gain a lot of knowledge on someone's true character when you take things from them like sleep, food and comfort.
The role play stuff is a bit of fluff and just awkward when you and they know it's not real or even to do with their job unlike a solider going through a course as a job application.

It's hard to judge based on AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)'s comments alone, but it certainly smells of cheap imitation.
Interviewing in a room with lights in the face, blindfolded, etc, is something used in special forces selection. However, it's done in the context of other factors, which include induced fatigue levels and sleep deprivation, and it's also facilitated by psychologist as well as those who specialise in interrogation, etc, all with a desired objective.

Watched three podcasts over the last week all quite long. Seems to me former players and wanta be journalist love sounding important.
All podcasts were talking doom and gloom. The future is bleak type views.
With FTA in trouble especially if they lose gambling revenue, maybe it's about time we started to look for other revenue sources . Because the doom n gloom can become how rugby is seen and that's not a good thing.
Two areas to consider, first US codes are good at this with the MLS making it almost an art form with others following. They link sponsors with their members base and earn from commissions .
Second and it's starting to expand a lot.
Football Australia has encouraged clubs to develop and sell players. They see international transfers as double their media deal within a couple of years.
Both the above have issues in an Australian context, however, we need to brainstorm possible revenue areas.

Its probably better than putting their new clubs.
It is repeating of a pattern. I remember a RA post that listed the best and fairest of the other four clubs with nothing about the Rebels. They are gone and not coming back, but it does feel a bit rough to make it appear that they haven't existed for a while.

I can't say anything about the other clubs, but the Reds are back training. Given Gibbon, Anderson and Canham have a contract with the Reds and not the Rebels, what super club should be listed for them if they were in the squad?

I’m involved in Vic clubland - RA have completely turns their back, no one has heard from RA all season - I’ll never forgive the current board - there’s a reason AAMI park wasn’t sold out for the Wales Test

And yes, while there is an overall trend of plummeting crowd numbers across Australian Super rugby teams over the last decade or more, the Brumbies and Tahs are still attracting at least double or triple the numbers of the Rebels...

A lot of knee jerk posts following this. Rebels out, I would think that RA might have followed up a bit more than usual. Vic club world is practically the only place to do that. I wouldn't call it a "requirement" but it would have definitely been more than just "a nice to have".
