This was missed by many, but it's a rare sight - good news!
If I were Raelene, I would spend my week talking about this. So important for our game to get these school programs running well:

Absolutely. Getting the game into and regularly played particularly at the primary school level would go a long way to reviving our fortunes in the years to come. And it's no surprise that girls are driving much of that growth. It's something RA should be going out of their way to support. I have my ideas about how the game should be structured in this country and a lot of that has to do with freeing up funds that could and if it were to occur should be directly invested into making the game a prominent schools sport from the ground up and encouraging as many young girls to play as possible.
It's one of the few positive legacies of Bill Pulver's reign, and it does prove that making the game appeal to all prospective players at the grassroots can work.
You are NEVER getting into public schools.Consistency by and large isn’t a natural talent though, yes some players are more gifted at consistency than others but by and large consistency comes down to training and coaching.
Remember this isn’t a Japan v SA once in a generation type occurrence, Australia is matching and beating these teams semi regularly, our schoolboy and U20’s are also mixing it with the best.
Could our talent pool improve? Yes ofc 1000% we could get into public schools and get greater numbers but our top 30 or so players are more than good enough to match it with their rivals from NZ, SA, Eng, Ire. To me at least it’s abundently clear it’s a coaching issue, not solely on Cheika, obviously the super coaches aren’t doing phenomenal at the moment but the wallabies current problems are more or less the fault of Cheika
You are NEVER getting into public schools.
League and AFL rule supreme in public school mentality and the rugby union community is utterly despised by the general public now - and that is never going to be repaired.
What is your evidence to support that it is 'despised'? Seems a little much to me.
In fact given the great strides we are making with women, I'd suggest it is completely erroneous.
The data (in my post above) actually shows we are making good inroads into public schools.
.
I love it. The study above is illegitimate but the study of your mates is on point. In fact - I am gonna question that study right out now - was that study in any way shape or form used to obtain any form of government or corporate funding?
If so - then it has absolutely been tailored to provide a result that indicates that the game is growing.
