where are your strengths Paarl.

this is where the Bok might trouble the Wallabies

  • That big back row although a bit slow should be good for big gains up the middle.
  • Your lineout has always been good and the mail that comes with it. I expect you boys will put the ball out lots to exploit this.
  • Cunning players in your back line who know how to sniff out and intercept. With a ten with a big flat passing game in Quade, you may get these opportunities.
Scrum will be even but if we get an edge I won't be surprised. The key here is SA don't pack as low as NZ.

The pace of the Wallaby game will be what the Bokke will have trouble with.

I'm looking forward to a good game.

If this happens then the boks will lose. The boks need to make sure that they are dominant in the scrum setpiece, and then it still comes down to how they defend vs your guys backs.

The Bokke will be very competitive in this game, and I am not all that comfortable that the bookies have established the Wobs as pretty clear favoutites.

The gap between the teams will is cigarette paper thin, and any complacency from the Wobs will be harshly punished.

I am really worried about how the Wobs will perform in the scrum. This Bokke mob can really own the scrum if they want.

Congrats to Mowen for getting the vice captaincy honour in only his 6th test. Look forward to him having a big game.

Tight 5. They'll provide the platform to apply pressure on Cooper. Once you get Cooper and his fancy boys to play backfoot rugby, its game over.

Defense. We'll have to defend well. The signs are there this year.

Kicking Game: Pienaar will be important here. His service and kicking was bad against the Pumas. He'll have to step up.

PaarlBok, on the money. The Bokke tight 5 for this test are like the bull wildebeest on the annual migration to protect the herd from the lion, the crocodiles and all the other predators.

The Selectors have chosen wisely, and the Wobs need to keep the Gilbert away from the tight stuff.

I'm really looking forward to see if we can at least maintain parity at scrum time, although I fear the worst. This may not be pretty to watch.

The Kirschner in 15, le Roux switch to wing sort of show Meyers hand. Cooper can kick well and Kirschner is the solid one in 15. Willies change to wing means he can often come in the flyhalf channel and will be pretty dangerous once Cooper throw that wild wide passes when under pressure. If Cooper play well, you should be fine, but for the Boks about applying pressure from the oven and playing in the right positions.

Have a bad feeling about this game.

The Wallabies and Link talking all week about how they expect to see the Boks kick a whole lot might compel the Boks to go for a more ball in hand gameplan.

That forward pack looks like it is out to put themselves over, and us behind, the advantage line.

Also, the hoodoo at Lang Park, coupled with the significance and emotion of the Mandela plate, will inspire that monstrous forward pack.

Let's hope the Wallabies forwards match their intensity at least, and we might see our backline score some points.

Predicting a close Wallaby win due to the Suncorp factor.
Wallabies by 6.

Looking at the game as the sum of the various contests in the component parts, I am quite fearful about the result.

The back three contest should be fairly even, provided Izzy comes good at 15. Not much between Cummins/JOC (James O'Connor) and Habana/le Roux. Centres contest could also be very even (one experienced and one rooky centre in each side). Genia/Cooper could have the edge on Pienaar/Steyn if Quade plays to his best. Back rows look even to me despite some thinking we have the edge there. I have a lot of time for Loeuw. Locks and front row look to me to be stronger on the SA side, especially with Horwill missing.

All in all, I think the Saffas have the edge in players and experience, but we have the ground advantage. Will be very close imo. Our main hope lies in the evolving Link game plan and the team's ability to implement it. Go the Wallabies.

Anyone know where I can watch the game on the Internet once it's actually all over? I'm traveling through Europe with four mates and usually we're able to find an Irish pub to watch the games in but we're on a train tomorrow and are absolutely devastated we won't be able to see it.

Any ideas? Cheers.

Just thought I would mention that I spotted fatcat fine tuning his fitness at the east Sydney. The darts arm looking good, and the vb elbow coming good!
Go the wallabies.

Hearing the Wallabies have gotten another blessing in disguise with Schatz out. Would have to be Gill in. Injury Gods fixing up Ewen's errors.

I must've missed something. Why is the selection of Jake an error?

EDIT: I mean to say, obviously you disagree with the selection but I'm curious to know what you are basing your opinion that it was an error in terms of selection on?

The strength of the Boks is undeniable.

Their real weakness will be keeping up to an expansive fast game that is expected from Australia..

Just hope we start well and don't slack off

I believe both the inclusions of Horwill and Schatz were errors. They do not warrant selection, Horwill on form and Schatz because he's not good enough for Test rugby.
