I'll have to watch again, but I thought the scrum only took a little hit after Slipper went off (kudos to Cowan), but more so after Kepu went off. Generally a good game by the forwards - scrum mostly stable, lineouts run well by the hookers and Simmons.
The real downside was decision-making, especially in the first half (too many quick taps, some wrong options off breakdowns) and some handling issues (although it was wet) with some bad passes from Phipps and others. The Foley / Hooper double-effort to not get that try was not so flash either, but I though Foley generally had a very good game. Argies had a pretty vigorous defensive line, and their comeback was a big effort.

And just in case your match day experience wasn't shithouse enough, how about you wait 40 minutes to get a bus for 30 minutes.

Fuck u Gold Coast. You're banned now

The other thing that I noticed at the last set of scrums was an elbow hitting the ground, if it was a hand then it is a penalty, does an elbow count too? Were the Pumas ripped off?

Yes, the elbow counts. It was a pathetic way to end the match. Another example of Glenn Jackson's incompetence - froze in the headlights as he always does when the pressure is on. There was no way he was going to award the Argies a penalty in that last scrum, let alone a penalty try no matter how many times we dropped it.

Well done IRB with the yes 9 call - what should have been a tension filled last 3 minutes ended up two and a half minutes of scrum resets and then a free kick against the scrum half for putting the ball in before the ref was ready.

I know. To'omua's solid there but he's not doing much in attack though. Put Beale there and we might be talking about the tries he let in, or maybe the holes he put Folau in..can be guaranteed the former governs on this site though!

When is Godwin available?;)

He had a good game. Made the right decision. The scrum needs to be steady before putting it in. Phipps got pinged or an incorrect feed. Consistent ref. did a good job

Ah I now see what all the Foley fanclub were harping on about.. Utter shite tonite! Couple more minutes and the wobs could've fashioned a new hue of blush - the upside was the scoreboard, Hoops and more troops on their way via the NRC :)

This team is giving me the shits. I barely enjoy watching most of the half assed, error riddled shit they have served up so far in the TRC. They lack the ability to build any sort of pressure and their basic ball handling is a fucking joke. What the hell is the general public thinking?

Agreed.
I think the general public would be bored shitless and change the channel after 20minutes.

Strange that Eales, Horan and Gregan all thought him MOTM. Bunch of know-nothing hacks, though.

There are already 20000 tickets sold so the crowd will be fine. The Gold Coast supports test rugby better than Perth (18000 for Argentina last year and 25000 for Springboks this year), so all this talk about the GC losing the test is just stupid.

We had the winning of that game several times over and somehow managed to only hang on in the end. I thought the pack actually did pretty well, but we were guilty of being impatient and taking some poor options at times. All that pill we had in the first 40 should have blown the game away then and there.

With that said, Foley and Phipps again showed enough that they should fill their respective spots for some time yet.
