Some players were well and truly shown up today. Nabuli did nothing and probably should have been YCed early in the game. Genia had a shocker - too many mistakes and poor work putting supports under immense pressure. DHP disappointing - have the Wallabies even been briefed on the new touch rules? Hanigan works all day long but has no impact, Should have been subbed instead of Higgers. TPN and Moore are both very poor.

Only players worth their spots on today's efforts are Foley, Folau, Hooper, Coleman and Kuridrani. Need some changes for next week - especially in the game plan. If that's how Cheika wanted them to play against the Scots, then he should be on very, very thin ice.

Brumby bias aside- Moore was actually quite effective when he came on- made a number of good decisions with the ball on whether to pass or hold and actually got over the advantage line.

Kuridrani? If he's the best outside centre in a country full of athletes we are in trouble- he was ponderous in attack a number of times and is SO limited. Watching the ALB for the All- Blacks last night reminded that we are missing an actual footballer in the 13 channel.

Is Brisbane having a week off Premier/Subbies rugby to celebrate the arrival of this pack of fucktards next week?

Or have they decided they might as well just go play a round?

What did kuridrani do of note?
If anything the whole backline was guilty of running poor lines, been slow in support play and throwing shit passes

That's just rubbish.... he's been the form Aussie 9 this year.

best of a bad bunch perhaps?

To be fair New Zealand halfbacks are the benchmark of what a halfback should be, and no Australian half is even close.

The one thing that annoyed me about Kuridrani was when Cooper throw that great pass to Foley for the break, and Kuridrani was there in support up until the line........

But it looked like the only option going through his head was to be in a position to clear out the tackler when our player went to ground, rather than being in a position to take a pass.

Just the assertion from Dave that he's there because of 'politics' is probably the silliest thing I've read in this thread, and there's plenty of Shiggins to go around.

So we can't even beat an understrength Scotland team. What happened to Aus rugby?

I really don't think the Scot's showed much at all, I disagree and think they were pretty much the same Scotland we all expect to play, competitive without being anything special. (although maybe now can hold it for 80mins)

Handling errors, No Support, Poor kicking game, wtf is up with our breakdown work? George Smith consulting didn't do much good :(

But how bloody good is it to see Folau flying high and some Cooper magic coming off!

I think a bit harsh as Scotland over last couple of years improved significantly and they had a good 6 nations campaign. I thought defensively they were solid, and did enjoy "that try"......

Wallabies had plenty of chance to win but just failure to secure ball and play well that final pass......Nabuli had great opportunity but gees did nothing as was just unsighted and anonymous for most of the game...while Genia had a terrible game......whilst also thought DHP did as well...

I do feel we would be better having Fardy at 6 but yes that won't happen....Higgers and Carter also been disappointing for me....

I thought Nabuli was okay apart from that near YC. The only time he ever got the ball was a last second pass squashed up against the sideline with no space whatsoever to work with, yet he still ran powerfully and managed to offload. Really needed to go looking for work in that situation, he's a really powerful runner when he's got space but he can't wait for it to come to him. He got subbed off for Hodge and then Hodge did absolutely nothing except fall over multiple times.

The Wallabies under Cheika are the most inflexible side in Tier 1 rugby IMO, by a long way. They are very unimaginative in game plan and show no ability to adjust to an unexpected game plan - even when it's something as obvious and commonly encountered as a rush defence like Scotland used. I don't remember seeing pick and goes, snipes from the ruck or anything to keep the rush defence honest other than standing ever deeper and shovelling the ball one out to forwards a split second before they got crunched.

Hell, it's taken Cheika four years to figure out that crossfield bombs to Izzy are a good way to score tries. That's hardly a novel observation but for the first four years of Cheika's reign it's hardly been done at all until these last two tests.

Kuridrani made some good yards BUT that pass into touch? Fuck.

Also, this backline is full of Hooray Harry types who stand off the ruck waiting for offloads, instead of busting into it as the alpha.

Was very noticeable when Hunt went off, because when a move died either side of him in the first 50-odd minutes he was there, smashing something in a blue jumper and securing ball.

The complete lack of patience from the Wallabies was the most frustrating aspect for me even allowing for those two gifted tries. You cannot expect to score tries off every phase but that seemed to be our predominant mindset.

Hats off to the Scots especially for their defensive work and spirited play throughout. They've had some heart breaking losses to us (none more so than the last WC). There's small margins at this level and they thoroughly deserve to celebrate this away win.

The game was epitomised by that play in the last 10 when Foley, bereft of other ideas, attempts to replay the Izzy try with a cross field kick but his execution was so poor that it was out on the full so far from the try line that it wouldn't have mattered even if DHP could have caught it.

Well done to Scotland, they played the better game. The wallabies are doing a fantastic job of getting that "expectation" monkey of their back. I expect them to win only 2 more games this international season.
