All Blacks fixtures:

Edit: 18:50 Sat 26/10 v Japan in Yokohama
04:10 NZDT Sun 3/11 v England at Twickenham
09:10 Sat 9/11 v Ireland at Aviva Stadium
09:10 Sun 17/11 v France at Stade de France
Edit: 09:10 Sun 24/11 v Italy in Rome.

36-man squad to be named on 7/10 along with a 29-man All Blacks XV with provision for players to turn out for both. Razor has been quoted as saying Peter Lakai falls into this category. 13 of the main squad will go directly to UK rather than via Japan.

All Blacks XV fixtures:

06:30 Sun 3/11 v Munster in Limerick
Edit: 02:00 Mon 11/11 v Georgia in Montpellier

Quite interested to see who goes on AB VX tour.
I betting that Josh Jacomb might get a gig. I know I been singing his praises for a couple of years, but suspect the talk about him starting to come from places that matter? Not really sure who will be other bolters/new players.

Main squad announcement at 14:00 NZDT today, ABXV tomorrow.

Roigard getting through 40 mins should be the end of TJP AB-wise but I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the XV. I think they'll take Cane in the main squad for his leadership, possibly coming off the bench rather than starting. Razor has pretty much telegraphed picking Lakai in the XV but also stepping into AB, presumably v Italy.

Roigard for Hotham the only change from TRC squad. Gotta be a heap of new blood in ABXV, surely.

Forwards: Asafo Aumua, Codie Taylor, George Bell, Ethan De Groot, Tyrel Lomax, Fletcher Newell, Pasilio Tosi, Ofa Tu'ungafasi, Tamaiti Williams, Scott Barrett (captain), Tupou Vaa'i, Patrick Tuipulotu, Sam Darry, Josh Lord, Ethan Blackadder, Sam Cane, Samipeni Finau, Luke Jacobson, Dalton Papali'i, Ardie Savea, Wallace Sititi
Backs: TJ Perenara, Cortez Ratima, Cam Roigard, Beauden Barrett, Damian McKenzie, Harry Plummer, Jordie Barrett, David Havili, Rieko Ioane, Anton Lienert-Brown, Billy Proctor, Caleb Clarke, Will Jordan, Ruben Love, Stephen Perofeta, Sevu Reece, Mark Tele'a

What an utterly boring selection.

Nevertheless. It still astounds me how the Chiefs have more forwards in the squad than the Blues, despite getting absolutely flattened by the Blues forwards twice at the back end of the season. Finau ffs.

I wouldn't have picked Cane but I can see the logic behind doing so.

TJP otoh makes no sense to me. Unless you pick Christie you're going with two 9's with sfa experience, one of whom could be learning off TJ.

Edit: from the stuff.co.nz live blog;

"Scott Robertson confirms Finlay Christie will join Noah Hotham in being named in the All Blacks XV tomorrow."

FFS/ LOL.

When Razor was appointed I thought we'd get something approaching Laurie's post-Grizz cleanout. Instead we're persisting with the same guys Fozzie & in some cases Shag picked & who aren't necessarily as good as they used to be.

Fabian Holland is now AB-eligible thanks to a recent (1 August) WR (World Rugby) Reg tweak, I wonder if he'll be named tomorrow?

there has to be some contractual chicanery going on here. I had no idea the All Blacks "brand" were in the business of rewarding players for repeatedly losing rugby football test matches.

I wouldn't have picked Cane but I can see the logic behind doing so.
could maybe understand Flappers and Cane being there as squaddies in the background to show newer players how to be great AB's as 50% is fine guys BUT if either are in a matchday XXIII vs Eng/Ire/Fra then that is a giant WFT of a selection

In terms of getting new ABs integrated this whole season has been a near waste.

Sititi, Ratima is about the extent of it

Otherwise - the other newbies who have been named have barely played.

Meanwhile departing players Perenara and Cane are taking up cap after cap.

The ABXV tomorrow will be quite telling.

How many wins do we think AB need for the tour to be rated a success? Or possibly more to the point, how many losses for it to be considered a fail?

I reckon we need to beat two of England, Ireland & France plus Italy to get a pass mark.
Agree, but any loss still hurts a bit, so I expect/hope for (probably unfairly) wins against everyone!

Is that the twin brother of the one forced to commit sepeku after Razor picked TJ, Cane, Havili etc?
Yes, and as the forii's sole Cantab supporter we the forii find you GUILTY of aiding and abetting the 3 corrupt Cantab crony selectors, good Sir.

"Can you point out the forii's sole Cantab supporter and collaborator?"

That's a better squad than what I was fearing

Good reward for players who have played well this year either in Super or NPC.

Riccitelli stands out as someone who is unlucky.
