ACT Brumbies 2026

Wallaby Way

Herbert Moran (7)
Having watched a replay of Aus U20 game last night against Italy, I thought Eli Langi must be well in the mix for a spot also. Great through contact, genuine lineout option, nice offload also.

I'm also interested in outside back signings as we are very thin there.

Pasitoa could be an option but otherwise Austin Anderson has been covering 10 at training I believe and maybe has been playing a bit of 10 in the JID.?

Haven’t heard anything about L Hooper leaving. I know there was a presentation to him at the lions game but I presumed that was because it was his debut
I had that exact thought when I saw it but you get caps for debuting. They didn't hand out a framed photo to the other debutant also. I really really hope im proven wrong though!

Looking ahead to 2026, I anticipate a fairly dramatic change to the attacking systems for the Brumbies.

Their defensive structure took time to bed in this year and still leaves the wingers with a lot of work to do and often facing multiple ball runners coming at them. But the systems are fairly rigid and that allows others to come into a matchday XXIII without much noticeable affect on overall performance. I expect that to continue and improve next season.
This was the change of style from the handover from Laurie Fisher to Ben Mowen.

What in the fuck ACT. Very un Brumby like to have a swing at this. The bloke has enormous potential but has shown time and time again to be a drop out. His physical ability is the only thing that keeps getting him paid. Slightly lesser players would have been kicked to the curb. Remember when he decided he wanted to be a Boxer? Mate you quit things now and decide to participate in one of the most gruelling endeavours?

You've dodged one here.

I assume this is just more newscorp anti-rugby crap. But if it is even remotely true and they were looking for another powerful ball running backrower surely you would go for someone like Tamati Ioane. Pangai Jnr (29) is 190cm and 117kg, very powerful ball running backrower. Tamati Ioane is 186cm and 119kg, very similar physically. Has just finished up at Suntory after 2 years and looking for a new club. I remember he didnt get a go down here when he was playing John I Dent and then the Rebels picked him up for 2 years, but doesnt make much sense chasing a bad-attitude 29 year old league player, when Ioane is without a contract.

He is quoted as talking to the Brumbies, dunno if you can blame the journalists for that one.

This might have piqued interest in the Brumbies, to see if he is as useless at rugby as he is in the NRL. Just another player with all the talent in the world but attitude won’t let them convert it to on-field.
