I believe he only did the swan dive for the last couple of tries when they were already 40 to the good.

However, I too will be laughing my arse off when/if he fucks a try with it. Certainly has a nose for a try, although if you watched the anaysis footage the pommy commentators were jerking off to over his "fantastic support play" you'll notice him willfully avoid hitting a couple of rucks, to keep himself available.

It will be even better if he bombs a try doing in a world cup final.

I though the poms looked really good, but how in the hell did the Italians keep giving them so much room one runner out from the ruck. They certainly helped the poms look good, but more ominously they took advantage of it.

Scotland v Wales: I didn't dare stay out on the streets of Edinburgh after that game. Scottish rugby supporters know how to enjoy their losses (they have too) but that was a completely shitawful display. They had the pill 2 to 1, but couldn't do anything with it, and when they did, dropped it cold in the red zone. Worst handling I've seen from a side at this level.

I thought Haskell had a good game dynamic running, should be on the bench when croft and moody come back.

Scotlands passing was so bad, Joe ansbro had three shocking passes shot at him over the match.

Max evans an alumni of my alma mater was ever dangerous and should be playing at 13.

From the interviews I've seen of Ashton he seems like a nice guy, funny as well. The first I saw of him was in this video and I thought oh no another mungo but it seems he was taking the piss.

France did just enough against Eire. Thought the Irish deserved all those penalties, could have got 10 minutes, too, they were slowing the French ball down a lot. Mind you, I'm a French supporter, so perhaps not unbiased.

The only team to play well twice is bloody England.

Can understand why French supporters wouldn't be happy, but I think this French team is good enough that they can play shit and still win. They just need to pull it together. Forwards need to man up big-time.

We were bloody lucky that the ref hadn't the slightest about the scrums; we were collapsing, binding illegally and scrummaging on our knees all game. Worryingly, France didn't do much and still won the game. Dark days ahead for Ireland methinks.

The reffing's been a bit shite this weekend. Parrise looked like he was going to do a Holies at one point, so incensed was he with Craig Joubert's reffing and Castro was quite right to have a go at him when an England player got let off with a penalty for preventing a quick tap when he was sent to the bin for the same offence earlier in the game (his calls were crap for both teams though). The first Welsh yellow was a joke in the other Saturday game too.

On a more positive note, I'm beginning to warm to Chris Ashton now, he seems like a humble, decent bloke off-field and gee can he take his chances. I also loved that Italian try from a maul, brilliant to see a pack that had been pushed around and on the wrong side of the ref all game fire up and shove their way over the line. And what about that try-saver by Sean Lamont on Jamie Roberts?

Wales must be feeling a bit stupid now Hooky's buggering off to France eh?

Anyone else a little concerned about how England are building here?

I still have my doubts they can keep playing that way in a world cup. I think they will go back to being more conservative. I will also wait and see how they go when they are not dictating the terms of the game and have their backs to the wall. All I know is that this is shaping up to be one hell of a RWC.

I thought the France ireland game wasn't bad. Best of the weekend. But it's all about super rugby now. No time too watch six nations.

England look to be a dynamic centre away from being a very good side, good pack, good halves and good back three. Tindall and Hape are just ponderous

A little time poor this week, I have all three games from the weekend recorded, which one should I watch?

Was anyone else amazed at how Scotland managed to not score against 13 men, despite so many opportunities?
