Good thoughts about the Gen Blue and Rebels likely selections, but why so condascending of the Brumbies Colts who lost to Gen Blue and had a convincing win over the Rebels? Surely an argument exists for somewhat equal representation by all three sides after the Reds?

I have it in mind that the Colts forwards were as strong, or stronger, than the other packs, and there are at least three backs in Jooste, Jackson-Hope and Kotz who must be in the mix.

Fair call. Your scrum is very good. Crazy how you smashed the Rebels, yet lost to Gen Blue. I think the answer is to have a longer comp so the teams can settle in a bit better and show their true colours more consistently over time, but season timing and scheduling will be against that happening.

Not long to wait till there is a list that will get the Jarsometer treatment showing all the representations and statistics on who got chosen from where and why.

The other factor that needs to be improved next time around is the travel and home game allocations.

The Colts had one home game only and had to travel Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne in consecutive weeks as I recall. Their loss also came against the Gen Blue after a bye in the first round so they were effectively one week behind the others in terms of getting game time to bed in systems etc.

They had a very hard program compared with all others, and I'd remind you that if the bonus point system in operation in Super Rugby had been in effect, They'd still have finished second and been in the final v Reds.

well put BR. the colts ended with two wins and two losses, started a week later, had to travel three weeks straight and ended their season on fire. Tyrel Lomax, Jooste and Jordan Jackson Hope will be there at least until the Bond Uni games.

here is my quickly put together 15.

1. Vunipola Fifita – Gen Blue

2. Alex Mafi – Reds

3. Tyrel Lomax - Brumbies

4. Lukhan Tui - Reds

5. Harry Hockings – Reds

6. Harley Fox - Rebels

7. Jack Hayson – Gen Blue

8. Tangaroa Hosea–Rebels

9. James Tuttle - Reds

10. Nick Jooste - Brumbies

11. Joey Fittock – Reds

12. Jordan Jackson-Hope - Brumbies

13. Campbell Magnay - Reds

14. Henry Hutchison – Gen Blue/7s

15. Liam McNamara - Reds

Tuipulotu played in the JWC in his U18 year, and played well in his Super games after being injured for the first 2 rounds. Hard to see him missing out on one of the center spots, albeit I've not watched many games bar the Vics.

As for Tupou, he's been in Australia less than the universal 3 years, and the contract he signed for NZ Schools mean he can't even play for the non international commitment sides.

Sione was certainly one I considered and I meant to mention as in my 23 definitely. I saw him play in Canberra for the U20 Aus Barbarians last year. but 3 did not fit into 2 spots, it is just my 15.

Someone else posted above you enquiring about Tongan Thor and wondering about Mack Mason and playing Magnay at 12, then deleted, which would be silly given Sione, JJH and the Reds Captain (name escapes me)!are all better suited to Inside Center overall. Wasn't meant to be at you.

It's not a bad side you've put up either. You've got most of them right I think, and Uelese, Fowler, Tuipolotu and Ah-Mu Tumalealiifano (who played for Samoa in last years JWC) would be the Rebels not in that team competing for squad places IMO.

Mason before Jooste any day with Sione on the inside and backed up with Magnay at outside centre. Madocks looked good at fullback in the first game against Qld?

Reds captain Freddy Dourough. IMO he would not make my 23 he is too small for 12, he doesn't like passing when he should and did spill a few too many. Sione Tuipolotu at 12.

Agree with above;
9- I like Moses Sorovi, has a great flat bullet pass and speed. We may not need the organisational skills of Tuttle if we have Mason at 10?
10- Mack Mason. I've not seen enough of Jooste but i do like his size which we will need, thought he got pressured and panicked a bit in the games i saw. will be better for the game time.
12- I like the look of Sione. He went himself all day, possibly thinking he needs to do it all himself. He will need to develop a passing game and quickly.
13- Magnay seemed to be hitting rucks all day, whereas i would like him to be ready for the recycled ball, i know the ball needs to be secured but isnt that the loosies role? perhaps someone could clarify. it just seems a waste to have the big 13 head down all day.
14- HH, Can we get the Hutch? epic.
15- Maddocks looks the goods.

7 to 8 boys from the Rebels got letters. No surprises. A lot of them did themselves no favours against ACT. Looks like Ta is either struggling with an injury or just out of form. Went of injured the last 2 games and was outplayed in the final. My money is on Harley Fox at 8 and the Qld 10.
A lot of the Rebels backs, although dynamic are just to small. Just my opinions.

Correct. Moderator intervention.

Bismarck deleted their post that was referred to later by @Monty Python.

In another post, now deleted by Mods, Bismarck distanced themselves from their OP (which was self deleted, not by Mods) suggesting that there was a reason that they had deleted their OP, and requested that their decision to delete one of their posts be respected.

If @Monty Python agrees with some or all of the names put forward in the now deleted OP as being worthy of being rumored/guessed as being on the radar, then they should post the rumored/guessed names themselves rather than quoting a fellow Gaggerlanders deleted rumour, and have that guess/rumour/talent identification attributed to themselves.

Thanks HJ. Nope, I've got nothing to add publicly on possible selections other than one or two actual insights, and a few assumptions. Happy to wait till the official announcement. I had no idea where that original post went, it just vanished. Thought it could have been a mistake as nothing in it seemed much different to the other speculation going on and boys guessed / named as hot tips. Also ssumed most would have it in their emails as I did, so posted it again.

(@Bismark, I would have happily deleted the re-post if you if you had let me know. My sincere apologies for causing angst).

Also, what does OP stand for?

Original Post I think.

I appreciate the, what do you call it, voluntary censorship? People shouldn't be asked to compromise connections they might have, or be allowed to usurp potential ARU announcements without permission, or with a heavy dose of rumour and innuendo.

The QLD boys I think are likely to (or probably should) start for the Aus side if available are Mafi, Tui, Tuttle, Mack Mason, Magnay and perhaps Fittock
