The NSW hooker, Fainga'a just got yellow carded. Nick Kellaway off for Ed Craig so they can pack a scrum.

@HJ, the crystal ball speaks, twitter reporting Kellaway in with a chip an chase, am assuming the A variety on this occasion.

The QLD team sounds pretty ordinary. So much possession and territory, and just can't score tries.

This is obviously not the strongest Baas side (looking at the reserves list).

The Squirrel says:

Toeta was injured trying to stop Fiji winger from scoring.

Fiji kicked two penalty goals after Baas indiscretions…
and then scored a try.

Fiji lead 23-12 at half time.
.
It was Jordan Fulivai that was injured. Toeta was the No. 10

Twitter reporting some changes to personel. Hanigan off, big wraps from twitter reports on his game today.

Without wanting to put the jinx on the NSW boys, if they were to hold QLD to 9 points, it would be back to back to games holding the opposition tryless. Very solid work from the defensive coaches!

Ah - the team sheet said Toeta was 15 and Squirrel said the 15 was injured, so I put in "Toeta". So it was the 12 that was injured.

How did Toeta play in the games you saw UJ?

We Sydney-siders are talking ourselves up but Thompson rates Toeta; so he could be 10/15 cover at least.

So as the Squirrel said - they could take just one specialist fullback to Italy to save a spot (Placid) and have AK (Andrew Kellaway) as his backup - but Jones and Toeta could be thirds, with Toeta the second flyhalf and somebody like Deegan as starter for the main games.

Of course Deegs can play fullback too.

That's only one scenario - back to the game.

Is there anything worse than a cocky and gloating New South Waleser, especially when the gloating is over a failure by their Northern neighbour to steal the chocolates off the top table?

As our victories are few and far between, I'm sure the folk from across the Tweed will tolerate a modicum of joy being shown by the NSWers on these threads because at the end of the day it is all for the Gold Jumper.

Hanigan will be one of the first ones picked.

NSW usually clears its bench with 20 minutes to go.

I watched them train for the last four months and I though that during that time that no other team would be fitter than them including the bench players.

If anyone sees this game or part of it on YouTube, please give it a mention here.

I don't know what happened to the squirrel - he brushed me.

Only 31-9. Some pesky bureaucrat at the Federal Department of Self Preservation must have turned down Rappys DA to open the gates on the Scrivener Dam. :(

Timer on the oven has just gone off. Humble pie is ready for consumption.

Congratulations to NSW, 3 great wins, and holding both other state sides scoreless is a phenomenal achievement. Bring on Italy
